9 Emergency Management B.C. Emergency Management BC (a.k.a PEP) is branch of the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General. EMBC works with local governments year round, providing training and support before, during and after emergencies.

21 Integrated Disaster Council (IDCBC) Working in cooperation with local authorities, other provincial ministries, and non-government organizations (NGO), to provide a coordinated approach to the delivery of community recovery efforts. Collectively, EMBC and the IDCBC provide support to local authorities in their efforts to help people recover after being affected by a disaster or an emergency. 15 NGOs and provincial ministries form IDCBC.

24 TEAMS TEAMS is a staffing system that maintains a resource pool of highly skilled provincial employees from various ministries who train regularly and have the appropriate skills and experience to manage provincial emergency operations centres.
