The 11 th Five Year Plan ( ) document has a subtitle of inclusive growth. This lists out divides and disparities and these can be spatial (geographic) or collectivecategory (gender, caste, community, ethnicity, religion) based. Reforms that trigger growth must be inclusive in the sense of broad-basing growth and mainstreaming deprived and backward segments. While growth throws up market-based opportunities, there must be equal access to markets. Thinkers & Writers Forum Planning Commission: Planning Commission plays an integrative role in the development of a holistic approach to the policy formulation in critical areas of human and economic development. The emphasis of the Commission is on maximising the output by using our limited resources Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance: The vision of the department is to foster a well regulated and orderly growth of banking and insurance sector to serve all sections of society. Unique Identification Authority of India: Its role is to develop and implement the necessary institutional, technical and legal infrastructure to issue unique identity numbers to Indian residents. The Authority envisions to issue a unique identification number (UIDAI) that can be verified and authenticated in an online, cost-effective manner, which is robust enough to eliminate duplicate and fake identities. Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry: The mandate of the Department of Commerce is regulation, development and promotion of India s international trade and commerce through formulation of appropriate international trade & commercial policy and implementation of the various provisions thereof. Ministry of Urban Development: The Ministry of Urban Development is responsible for formulating policies, supporting programs, monitoring programs and coordinate the activities of various Central Ministries, State Governments and other nodal authorities concerning all the issues in the country.
3 Banks need to leverage modern technologies to provide banking and financial services to the rural populace and thereby create hitherto unprecedented economic opportunities for them. Financial inclusion and the extension of financial services to every citizen of the country is a priority for the government. National Informatics Centre: NIC, under the Department of Information Technology of the Government of India, is a premier Science and Technology organization, at the forefront of the active promotion and implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions.
