Presentation of a framework for guiding next steps in in strengthening the effective delivery of finance to respond to climate change. Manuel Cocco, UNDP Local Governance & Climate Change Finance consultant Session 5 Break-out groups: Country teams develop country level action plans of next steps to strengthen access and delivery of finance to respond to climate change at the local level. Introduction: Thomas Beloe, Governance of Climate Finance and Development Effectiveness Advisor, UNDP-APRC The objective of this session is to enable the different countries to develop action plans to be taken forward at the country level Session 6a (continued) Peer-to-Peer discussion: Reviewing country action plans and identifying common recommendations Introduction: Thomas Beloe, Governance of Climate Finance and Development Effectiveness Advisor, UNDP-APRC The objective of this session is to enable exchange, feedback and inputs on country action plans through a peer review process between different countries. Groups will also be asked to identify common recommendations for: (i) local practitioners; (ii) central government; and (iii) international partners which will enable country action plans to move forward. Coffee and refreshments will be served in the break-out rooms. 4
5 Session 6b Peer-to-Peer discussion among Development Partners The objective of this session is to enable exchange and discussion among the development partners who are present to discuss potential for collaboration to support country action plans, as well as to identify potential regional initiatives related to climate finance at the local level Lunch Session 7: Identifying common recommendations for strengthening access and delivery of finance to respond to climate change at the local level Chair: Sujala Pant, Programme Specialist- Local Governance, UNDP - APRC Gallery Walk Participants will have the opportunity to get an overview of each of the country action plans, and ask questions about them to the respective country representatives.
