17 Summary Metso has conducted a comprehensive Oxy-CFB test program 4MWth CFB Pilot boiler was modified for oxycombustion An extensive test matrix within 4 test weeks with 2 different coals was conducted in 2010 Safe and reliable operation window for Oxy-CFB combustion was defined Total emissions in mg/mj are lower in oxy, but emissions contents are remarkably higher process design and HSE issues! - In oxy-mode high temperature and oxygen concentration promote low emissions Oxy-combustion technology can be applied in CFB boilers 17
