2 ANPS - Facts 2009 AREVA NP and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) founded the AREVA Nuclear Professional School (ANPS) hosted by KIT and sponsored by AREVA NP ANPS was organized by Prof. Schulenberg 2011 establishment of endowed professorship at KIT with Prof. Class as the current director. ANPS has 14 KIT employees and 3 AREVA employees delegated to KIT (mainly consisting of PhD students) PhD funding by AREVA NP, RWE, EU-projects (THINS, SEARCH, MAXIMA) German Science Foundation DFG (IAEA/NEA) AREVA Nuclear Professional School
3 ANPS - Facts specialized teaching blocks performed by senior scientists. education performed by 9 professors & 4 lecturers of nuclear technologies addresses young scientist/engineers at beginning of their career & experienced scientist/engineers 15 (19) teaching blocks with ~20 units of 90 minutes each practical exercises visit to test facilities teaching blocks are offered annually since 2009 teaching language was German until 2012 teaching language is English since 2013 Up to 20 attendees for each teaching block ~ 50% capacity since Fukushima Teaching blocks are offered at customer site on demand Petten Education & Training for EU-Projects (SEARCH, MAXIMA) AREVA Nuclear Professional School
