8 RoHS Maximum Concentration Values Commission Decision 2005/618/EC of 18 th Aug a maximum concentration value of 0,1 % by weight in homogeneous materials for lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) and of 0,01 % by weight in homogeneous materials for cadmium shall be tolerated. 8

9 RoHS Homogeneous Material..cannot be mechanically disjointed into different materials...of uniform composition throughout...can be, in principle, separated by mechanical actions such as unscrewing, cutting, crushing, grinding and abrasive processes. Mechanical Disjointing Definition Excludes Chemical Separation Dilution is Not the Solution! 9
