2 Monitoring Main positive points and obstacles raised by the implementers Positive points: The way the Platform establishes contact between researchers using web tools; The creation of future cooperation possibilities; The positive impacts that the project results will possibly have on Togo; The exchange and the knowledge transference related to the use of modeling tools for risk analysis; The ease in the management of financial resources through Funarbe s system. Obstacles: The communication and interaction between partners are difficult due to the language, time zone and limited availability of information on technology in Togo; Difficulties in sending samples to Brazil; Difficulty in obtaining visas for technical visits to Brazil. Main recommendations of the monitoring mission To improve the communication between the partners. Establish days and times for regular communication; To plan samples to Brazil/Togo in advance; To plan the technical visits in advance so that there is enough time to obtain the necessary documents; To pay attention to the closing date of the project so that all planned activities are finalized and the financial resources are implemented; To inform the Platform coordination as early as possible about any obstacle in the implementation of the planned activities during project validity; To inform the Platform coordination as soon as possible about the need to reallocate budget.
