5 Renew your environment. Save his... Frog Facts The Red Eyed Tree Frog inhabits the rain forests of Costa Rica. and hers. As we ve demonstrated throughout this brochure, we re committed to environmentally friendly business practices. Sure, we ve earned recognition for our green manufacturing efforts. But it goes much deeper than that. It may sound trite, but we re truly committed to making the world a better place. If the Little Tikes Commercial brand of products represents anything, it represents warmth, loving and caring. Kids mean the world to us. And, well, so does the world. Global warming and pollution are growing problems facing the world today. We want to be part of the solution. That s why we ve teamed with The Nature Conservancy to plant trees in the Atlantic Rainforest for every playground we sell. These frogs rarely descend to the ground and are completely nocturnal. Bright markings along the sides and on the limbs function to avoid predators. Red-eyed Tree Frogs are carnivores and their diet consists of any animal that will fit in their mouths, even other frogs! The courting ritual consists of males croaking (often all in unison) trying to attract a female. They wrestle until all of them fall off the branch except one. Tropical rainforests are often described as the Earth s lungs. They take in carbon dioxide and convert it to clean, breathable air. Since these rainforests have been subjected to aggressive deforestation, the global environment has suffered. We re proud to have joined with The Nature Conservancy to plant one billion trees in the Atlantic Rainforest by 015. Kids are at the heart of what we do.
