Water Supply Assessment SB 610 requires water purveyor to prepare WSA for mixed-use projects of over 500 dwelling units; Improve the link between water agencies and cities/counties; First step in environmental process Approved by water agency (Hesperia Board of Directors); Must be approved prior to Environmental Document being circulated; Included in Environmental Document Water demand projections included in the currently adopted Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP)
Water Supply Assessment Evaluate water supplies that are or will be available to meet project water demands for at least 20 year period; Evaluation includes normal supply, single-dry year, and multiple dry-year scenarios. Sources - long range planning documents (UWMP). Continued management of groundwater basin Replenishment of basin with imported water Use of recycled water Conservation measures

OPEN SPACE PLAN
SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES SOLAR ENERGY WATER RECYCLING XERISCAPE WALKABLE NEIGHBORHOODS
Tapestry Water Supply Assessment Tapestry significantly reduces water demand by 2 primary principles: Water Conservation Measures Incorporating Recycled Water Systems
Nonirrigated Fuel Mod Efficient Fixtures Drought Tolerant Planting Water Conservation Measures Xeriscape Reduced Turf Efficient Irrigation Limit Impervious Areas
Drought Tolerant Landscaping and Xeriscaping
Drought Tolerant Landscaping for Parks
Recycled Water System Wastewater Reclamation Plant that will provide tertiary treated RECYCLED WATER to be used throughout Tapestry s irrigable landscaping. This includes irrigation uses for: Parks & School Fields Medians & Parkways Open Spaces & Graded Slopes Additionally, private irrigation demand for: Private residential front and rear yards (for last 9,700 units) Projected recycled water usage at build-out: 4,213 AFY
WATER MASTER PLAN
RECYCLED WATER MASTER PLAN
Projected Domestic Water Usage 2010 UWMP anticipated growth over the next 25 years (2010 to 2035) Population would increase from 90,173 to 130,420 Water demand would increase from 13,595 to 24,817 Projected 2015 Demand: 17,660 AF; Actual 2014 Demand: 14,444 AF Total UWMP water demand increase anticipated (through 2035): 11,222 AFY Tapestry s projected water demand (through 2036 at Build Out): 6, 502 AFY (will occur over 20 to 30 Years) Tapestry Average Water Usage: 102 gpcd vs. City Average: 165 gpcd
Conclusion The District & MWA have implemented plans to help ensure that the service area has adequate supply Mojave Water Agency has developed a plan to recharge the basin either naturally and or through SWP purchases along with a clear framework of allowances (Base Annual Production & Free Production Allowances) Mojave Water Agency and District s 2010 UWMP projections indicate that total water supplies, including local and imported supplies from SWP, will be sufficient to meet Total Water Demand beyond Tapestry is implementing a series of smart planning techniques and water conservation measures, including develop a recycled water system, to significantly reduce water demand 2010 UWMP anticipates 11,222 afy growth by 2035 Tapestry conforms with 6,502 afy demand by 2035 (at earliest) Sufficient capacity for additional growth beyond Tapestry
