We have achieved high level results in the field of freight of new and used vessels, in shipbuilding and in financing of marine projects. We possess about twenty vessels and use them all over the world and also actively participate in projects of transportation of LPG and LNG. In the aerospace sector we constantly expand our business in the civil aircraft industry, aircrafts leasing, electronic and security systems on the basis of long-term business ties with world s airline companies with high technological potential. Main business activities in Russia: ITOCHU Corporation participates in realization of a number of large-scale Russian industrial plant projects, fulfilling functions of a system integrator, including coordination in turn-key projects, EPC (engineering procurement construction), finance arrangement with Japanese public and private financial institutions; providing clients with the best Japanese technologies, assistance in arranging sales channels through ITOCHU s own global network. 9 Energy Department Main business activities in Russia: Trade: Crude oil and Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) Projects: E&P and LNG Oil & Gas The Energy Department is focused on trading of crude oil and LPG as well as seeking new investment opportunities in the E&P projects and LNG projects in Russia. Itochu Corporation is participating in the Sakhalin I Project (as the largest private shareholder of Japanese consortium SODECO ) and in the onshore project in East Siberia together with Irkutsk Oil Company (as the largest private shareholder of Japanese consortium JASSOC ). The Energy Department is targeted at making contribution to the energy security of Japan, as well as to the development of Russian Economy.
