Qualifying homeowners receive: Free in-home energy efficiency review & basic energy saving items Free qualifying insulation upgrades A new high efficiency natural gas furnace for only $19/month over 5 years Participation over 3,500 homes * 1,573furnaces replaced 2,620 insulation upgrades *Cumulative to Sept 30, 2011

Total forecast natural gas savings = enough natural gas to serve nearly 55,000 houses Reduced greenhouse gas emissions = 700,000 fewer cars. Benefits the Manitoba economy with over $242 million in energy efficiency improvement projects undertaken through the Power Smart Residential Loan Program alone.

27 Power Smart First Nations Program A community approach tailored to work with First Nations Program Details Community approach tailored to work with First Nations Each First Nation community works with a Manitoba Hydro specialist to select qualifying homes and install energy efficiency measures Manitoba Hydro provides funding for the materials and provides training to local labourers to create a sustainable solution for the community Participation 278 First Nation homes upgraded* *Cumulative to Sept 30, 2011
