Motivation for Evaluations Payment reforms are taking place across the country to promote better value from health care. In order for payment reforms to succeed, we need more evidence about which models work in today s complex healthcare environment.
Goals for Evidence Hub Project Disseminate lessons learned from existing evaluations Provide tools that organizations can use when considering evaluating their initiatives Coordinate new evaluations of promising care delivery and payment models.
Value proposition for evaluations Provides regular feedback that allows you to identify opportunities to refine the payment reform. A greater evidence base from evaluations that helps provide insights about the likely impacts of reforms you might want to consider based on your market and population. When disseminated, you can incorporate the successful models into payment reforms (and make sure that the payment model is implemented along with the factors necessary for success.)
We Need Your Help Have you evaluated a payment initiative and would be willing to share the results? Would you be willing to share what payment reforms you have underway (regardless of whether they ve been evaluated)? Would you be interested in having an evaluation done of an existing or upcoming payment initiative?
Why Might You Want to Partner in Evaluation? We will share with you evidence on payment reforms like yours, which could help provide insights about the likely impact of your reform. We will connect you with evaluation experts and assessment tools, which will make it easier for you to learn whether your initiative is having its intended effect and how to change course. The Hub will improve the evidence on payment reforms, and thereby improving all of our knowledge in how to implement and expand payment reforms. If we become partners in evaluating one of your payment initiatives, the evaluation can provide regular feedback that can identify opportunities to refine the payment reform.
If Interested. Please fill out this survey to let us know the basics about your payment reform initiative. We will follow up with you to learn more. If you have any questions, please feel free to Rob Saunders, PhD at
