5 German laws as base Employment agency sends participants participation requirements: up to 26 years + interest in apprenticeship in a craft trade + German: advanced level (B1, A2) Process up to 6 months - focus on practical experience 1. occupational orientation: Every week - participants produce a piece of work in different workshops for example: chessboard - carpentry Getting to know 8 different craft trades and how they work in Germany trainers assess capabilities in different craft trades 2. Internships - 3 months Companies get to know participants and their capabilities Participants get to know the daily worklife in the different craft trades During the complete project: 1day: German lessons application training tasks of social pedagogue: preparation for apprenticeship requirements/conditions/system/market - VET Identify areas of improvement + personal resources + wishes Planning - how to reach the aims + monitoring individual (social) support (overcome obstacles) acquire internships + assist + intermediate Handwerkskammer Potsdam, Charlottenstraße 34-36, Potsdam November 17 5
