1 LEONARDO DA VINCI PROGRAMME and QUALITY COMMITMENT Vitalis host organisation for Leonardo da Vinci projects VITALIS, as host organisation, receives participants from all European countries. Over the last 10 years we gained experiences from more than 300 projects we realized in different fields of profession. We develop, together with more then two hundred small and medium-seized enterprises in the region Leipzig and Halle, model projects in the framework of Leonardo da Vinci projects. We support the mobility of the participants in the European Community and the communication between people from all over Europe. Our Project proposal for your stay in Germany: Title: Duration: 2 weeks Receiving organisation (name address): Vitalis GmbH, Gut-Wehlitz, Leipzig/Schkeuditz, Germany Contact Person (name, position, address, phone no): Ralf Giesecke, President, leonardo@gut-wehlitz.de, 0049/34204/ Knowledge, skills and competence to be acquired: Knowledge, skills and competence to be acquired are the following: Gathering of practical experience during the performance of the profession in another European country Support of practical skills in the professional field Learning about the education system and working system of the host country Enlargement of the social and linguistic competence Activities: To learn about the work conditions and thus extract and develop new ideas to improve them Get familiar with placement company (structure & organisation of company) Get to know the rules of quality Learn about occupational health and safety Learn about the quality standards of the placement Activities in: practical training Technical knowledge in basics of information technology Knowledge in picture editing with Adobe Photoshop Principles of graphic design 1
2 Examples for placements: Vocational Training Centre in Leipzig Centre for Further Education Robotron Bildungszentrum in Leipzig All the above mentioned modules can be seen as examples. It s possible that we have to modify or adapt them due to the abilities of the participants. The duration and the placement in the training centre ask for further agreements between the Host organization and the Promoter. The tasks and the activities vary and depend on the practical and the linguistic skills of the beneficiaries and on the needs and business volume of the companies. Detailed programme of the training programme (activities proposed to be achieved): Date Activities Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Arrival in Schkeuditz Check in Gut Wehlitz (Welcome at Gut Wehlitz, Check In- in the accommodation) Introduction in programme / Expiry meeting about the schedule, getting information (plans, city maps, guest pass...) for example the Practical Training Centre ZAW GmbH Zentrum für Aus- und Weiterbildung in Leipzig: Introduction into the Practical Training Centre of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Leipzig in different fields of further and vocational education / Information about the over 15 years old history of the institution / Information about the possibilities of training regarding DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 / Getting to know the different workshops e.g. CNCtechnology, control technology (hydraulics, pneumatics, SPS, electronics, electrical engineering), car mechanics, automotive technology and metal work / Information about the training in the different professional educations with main focus of information technology (duration, contents, exams) which are teach in ZAW Guided tour through the city of Leipzig / Getting to know the sights of the city, e.g. the square Augustusplatz with the Leipzig Opera and the concert hall Gewandhaus, the churches St. Nikola and St. Thomas, the passage Mädler Passage, the New and the Old City Hall for example the Centre for further education Robotron Bildungszentrum in Leipzig: Introduction into the Training Centre for further education / Presentation of the work of the institution for vocational training and retraining with technical advice - educational offer / Introduction into the practical training in graphic design and picture editing Visiting the Monument of the Battle of Nations including the museum in the south of Leipzig for example the public professional education centre BSZ 7 in Leipzig: Getting to know the German Education System introduction into the different forms of school in Saxony / Getting to know the possibilities to get a professional education in Germany (special school forms: Berufsvorbereitungsjahr, Berufsgrundbildungsjahr) / Information about the professional education in the professional education centre BSZ 7 in Leipzig in the field of informatics requirements, duration of the professional education, exam which have to be passed Visiting the Leipzig Zoo in the city centre 2
3 Thursday, Friday, for example the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (College of Graphic and Book art) in Leipzig: Introduction into the college of graphic and book art during a guided walk / Getting to know the four different possibilities of study: 1 st painting/graphic, 2 nd photography, 3 rd book art / graphic design and 4 th media art / Information about the special profession in the study of graphic design / Information about the future activities if the student graduated successful for example the technology centre GaraGe in Leipzig: Introduction into the technology centre GaraGe in Leipzig a centre for professional orientation for young peoples / Information about the history of the technology centre / Getting to know the possibilities of practical training in the field of wood and metal processing, computer studies, media technologies and car mechanics / Introduction into the workshop for picture editing and graphic design / Possibility to taking part into the workshop cultural programme: Dresden Saturday, Guided tour through the Saxon capitol Dresden / Information about the sights of the city, e.g. the famous Zwinger, Residence Palace, Semper Opera, Bruehl Terrace / Possibility for free activities, e.g. visit of the porcelain museum, art gallery Alte Meister & Neue Meister cultural programme: Leipzig Visiting the Monument of the Battle of the Nations in the south of Leipzig or the Leipzig Zoo in the city centre Monday, Introduction into the placement company information about the daily working times, the organisation of the training company / Introduction into the daily working routine of the placement company / Getting to know the company s standards in safety and data protection on the work place / Refreshing the students knowledge in picture editing and graphic design / Basics in Adobe Photoshop Tuesday, work place / Getting to know the process digital photos by applying lighting, contrast, different effects / Practical exercises Wednesday, work place / Practical training in mounting and processing of films which the students have done during their stay in Germany in groups Thursday, work place / Practical training in eliminating bad parts and mounting good parts of pictures in chronological order and applying transition effects, soundtrack and comments 3
4 Friday, Saturday, work place / Practical training in applying transition effects, soundtrack and comments Evaluation of the practical training in the placement company / Handle out of the certificates Cultural programme: weekend trip Berlin Guided city tour through the city with sightseeing and get to know the interesting story about German life / tradition and history, followed by free time for own activities in the city Evaluation of the programme, exchange of experience during the stay in Germany regarding the training and visiting programme and the cultural trips / Handle out of the project documents (certificates, final report, europasses) Departure / Return to Croatia Tasks of the trainee: Trainees have to make all possible effort towards the achievement of the programme objectives and its quality assurance. Furthermore, they have to follow the programme and the instructions of the responsible staff and the teacher who accompanies the trainees. Monitoring and Mentoring of the participant: A team of experienced staff of the receiving organization as well as the teachers, who accompanies the trainees, will monitor and mentor the trainees. Evaluation and Validation of the training placement: On completion of the training programme the professional and personal development of the participants will be evaluated and the receiving organization will issue Europass certificates to the participants, Certificates from the placement company and certificates from Vitalis 4
5 LEONARDO DA VINCI MOBILITY QUALITY COMMITMENT TRAINING PLACEMENTS THE SENDING ORGANISATION UNDERTAKES TO: Define Choose Select Prepare Establish Manage Evaluate placement objectives in terms of the skills and competencies to be developed. the appropriate target country, host organisation, project duration and placement content to achieve these objectives. participants on the basis of clearly defined and transparent criteria. participants in collaboration with partner organisations for the practical, professional and cultural life of the host country, in particular through language training tailored to meet their occupational needs. a contract including a training agreement whose contents are transparent for all parties involved. transport, accommodation, visa/work permit arrangements and social security cover and insurance. with each participant the personal and professional development achieved through participation in the Leonardo programme. THE INTERMEDIARY ORGANISATION (WHERE APPROPRIATE) UNDERTAKES TO: Select Provide suitable host organisations and ensure that they are able to achieve the placement objectives. contact details of all parties involved and ensure that final arrangements are in place prior to participants departure from their home country. THE SENDING AND HOST ORGANISATION JOINTLY UNDERTAKE TO: Negotiate Agree Implement Establish Evaluate a tailor-made training programme for each participant (if possible during preparatory visits). monitoring and mentoring arrangements. agreed validation procedures to ensure recognition of skills and competencies acquired. appropriate communication channels for all parties including participants. the progress of the project on an on-going basis and take appropriate action if required. THE HOST ORGANISATION UNDERTAKES TO: Foster Assign Identify Provide Check understanding of the culture and mentality of the host country. to participants tasks and responsibilities to match their knowledge, skills, competencies and training objectives and ensure that appropriate equipment and support is available. a tutor to monitor the participant s training progress. practical support if required. appropriate insurance cover for each participant. THE PARTICIPANT UNDERTAKES TO: Comply Abide Communicate Submit with all arrangements negotiated for his/her placement and to do his/her best to make the placement a success. by the rules and regulations of the host organisation, its normal working hours, code of conduct and rules of confidentiality. with promoter/sending organisation about any problem or changes regarding the placement. a report in the specified format, together with requested supporting documentation in respect of costs, at the end of the placement. 5
