27 proud to be recognised as the worlds leading organisation at delivering Natural Resource Management Natural Resources Wales is a Welsh Government Sponsored Body and came into being in April 2013, largely taking over the functions of the Countryside Council for Wales, Forestry Commission Wales, and the Environment Agency in Wales, as well as certain Welsh Government functions. We are on a long journey and this is just the start. We have a focus on delivery, and we will concentrate on integrated and collaborative working to deliver Natural Resource Management. We will be reaping the benefits set out in the Business Case for creating Natural Resources Wales over the next ten years or so. We will deliver our purpose - ensuring that the environment and the natural resources of Wales are sustainably maintained, sustainably enhanced and sustainably used, now and in the future.
