EDITORIAL " TAKING THE TDV CULTURE OUT ACROSS EUROPE " Christophe Lambert Director We are true to our strategic vision: Excellence Textile Let us make our and priorities ambitious. Let us work constantly to bring business and ethics closer together and balance competitiveness with well-being in the workplace. Through our long-term commitment to the local area and our respect for people, we have built a strong, resilient business to generate performance, invest in the future and provide our staff with opportunities to thrive. Our aim today is to become a leading European company recognised in the industry for both our technical and managerial expertise and our. Once again this year, let us grow together. Bruno MAGUERY Industrial Managing Director Combining lean principles and Lean approaches and have something important in common: the fight against waste. The former involves reducing energy consumption and the company's carbon footprint. The latter means optimising flows in the factory and improving staff safety. Both demonstrate our commitment to the same, single company culture. Looking from either side, if we can successfully roll out lean and so they become reality in the workshop day to day and reach every staff member, we will have succeeded. These are our challenges today. TDV Report 14 - p. 3

FOCUS 1 GOVERNANCE FOCUS 1 - STRIVE FOR CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT IN, SUPPORTED BY OUR GOVERNANCE We ALL contribute to and act on Agenda 21 Our Agenda 21 is a collaborative strategy involving all our stakeholders. It is an action plan over several years drawing on our policy. It acts as a lever to secure buy-in from staff, stand out in a busy world and create sustainable value. FOCUS 2 ENVIRONMENTAL AND CONSUMER RESPONSIBILITY FOCUS 3 FOCUS 2 - REDUCING THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF OUR BUSINESS FOCUS 3 - water is our oxygen, let s protect it FOCUS 4 SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOCUS 4 -Co-produce Agenda 21 with our stakeholders, in particular workshops FOCUS 5 - Secure and develop jobs in our local area TDV Report 14 - p. 5

GOVERNANCE "triggering competitiveness through lean management" In lean management, we constantly strive for operational excellence by identifying sources of inefficiency and ensuring good practice is shared across the business. Visual management lies at the heart of the method. By making results transparent in real time, visual management improves responsiveness to problems as they are discovered. Each zone or department has its own performance indicators and these are displayed. Any significant variance compared to targets results in an analysis and a corrective action plan. p.6 - TDV Report 14

LEAN MANAGEMENT, A PARTICIPATIVE METHODOLOGY To produce lasting results, lean management is part of the company culture and influences the behaviour of all staff. SPOTLIGHTON 14 Our 100% Roll out our Agenda 21 internationally At TDV, we achieve this by making the operators manufacturing the products directly responsible for their work. They report any anomalies they encounter, are involved in analyses and are encouraged to step back from their routine work to gain a clearer view. So every staff member is involved in lean management. Our production site "thinks zero waste" in every aspect of its day to day operations, while increasing value added and keeping its focus on our customers' needs. 100% 50% Half-yearly steering committee Share our vision and values with our stakeholders During 14, TDV used lean management to tackle seven forms of waste: overproduction, waiting time, scrap-rework/corrections, product ranges, unsuitable operational processes, transport/interruptions in flows, unnecessary movement and stocks (in both production and administrative areas). To these we must add an eighth form of waste: failure to harness the intellectual resources of staff. 15 Our Focus LEAN MANAGEMENT AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR COMPANY CULTURE Beyond eliminating production waste, lean management also works to optimise development processes. To obtain lasting results, lean management uses continual improvement in the processes to be optimised, which is achieved through the strong commitment of all staff. We use PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) to drive continual improvement and therefore our lean management approach. We are using a number of classic lean management tools to support this change in company culture. 100% of staff in the workshops actively involved in lean objectives and Have our 14 report translated into English Industrial & Commercial plan My experience Bruno MAGUERY Industrial Managing Director "I am delighted to be rolling out this method at TDV Industries. I joined TDV from the aeronautical and automotive industries, where I acquired the lean management culture and learned the methodologies. This approach, together with the great body of staff we have here at TDV, will take us closer to operational excellence. We're truly motivated by the challenge!" TDV Report 14 - p. 7

ENVIRONMENTAL AND CONSUMER RESPONSIBILITY "Reduce the environmental impact of our fabrics" TDV Industries technical fabrics have been manufactured in France for many years, and are now. being exported. We have recently begun providing environmental information. Customers, in Germany in. particular, are impressed. TDV has pledged to be completely transparent regarding the entire life cycle of the fabric, from the raw material through to manufacturing in France. To achieve this, we have added environmental figures to our data sheets. Transparency counts in our customers' buying decisions, and so we have made it part of the new Josten Top Line range. p.8 - TDV Report 14

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE OF OUR FABRICS MAKES AN IMPRESSION ABROAD German manufacturer Hugo Josten specialises in high quality, ethical, ecologically responsible clothing. Customers rely on the brand for safety, performance and total traceability. Director Dr Klaus Weirich told us more: Why do you buy ethical fabrics produced in France? Doctor Klaus WEIRICH, Director of Hugo Josten A few years ago, we were contacted by a Scout association looking for organic, fair trade cotton uniforms. Our supplier TDV Industries is a long-term partner and we knew we could count on them, thanks to the wide range of high value added, ethical fabrics they offer. So in 10 we worked together on a range of Max Havelaar certified fairtrade bioorganic cotton workwear. Offering sustainable, socially responsible products that respect the environment is vital to our business model. This involves supporting developing countries as well as preserving resources. Germany is still a beginner in this area. Together, we have a lot of work to do to raise consumer awareness. How do customers see your commitment to responsible sourcing? SPOTLIGHTON 14 Our 100% 100% 10% Product environmental assessment by linear metre manufactured Launch the "Green IT project" Implement the energy measurement plan 15 Our Become a recognised partner for -conscious textile businesses in Germany and Scandinavia and export the model to Switzerland, the Benelux countries and Austria Roll environmental labelling out to all our markets Play an active role in the joint "No Formol" project Offering a Max Havelaar certified range is a point of difference for us. It helps us build a positive image as an innovative manufacturer. Offering sustainable workwear has given our brand a boost, and this is particularly true of the new Josten Top Line collection, which is more high-end, more designer and more sporty. It uses 65% organic fairtrade cotton and 35% recycled polyester (from plastic water bottles). What does a carbon offset circular economy fabric mean to you? TDV's scheme to offset carbon via a reforestation programme in Africa is laudable and highly innovative. We need to make sure users are aware of your initiative. It is very worthwhile and deserves to be encouraged by buyers. However, we cannot forget the price element. There is a limit to how much extra customers will pay for an ethical fabric. So long as the price remains reasonable, the German market is ready to adopt TDV's circular economy fabrics. TDV Report 14 - p. 9

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY "Measure the performance of our HR processes" At TDV Industries, our human resources are at the heart of our company vision. We help staff develop and thrive through strong values. On the basis of these, we recruit technical experts and actively manage skills, offering relevant training to meet the needs of each staff member. To achieve this, we have to ensure that the company's staff develop continuously, both individually. and as a group, guaranteeing excellent performance in the short, medium and long term. p.10 - TDV Report 14

RECRUITMENT AND OUR Company orientation programme Orientation is linked to organisational socialisation, or the process through which each person learns their role in a company. Beyond simply learning the technical aspects of their role, new staff members must understand and find their place in the cultural and social environment. At TDV Industries, the company orientation programme begins in the job interview, which involves the HR department, the safety manager and the relevant department or workshop manager. Once staff are recruited, to help them discover their new environment they are given a welcome booklet, safety procedures and the staff regulations, and shown round the production site. When new staff are supported as they take up their duties, they become operational, productive and autonomous more quickly. Our orientation process stands out for the cultural immersion it offers. It includes an introduction, information and training and also passes on the company values. It helps us attract and retain talented staff. These new staff are the future of our company. My experience Vanessa BARBAUD Spinning workshop operator "I started working in the spinning workshop in 14. I was given a welcome booklet and shown round the site, which helped me get to know the company quickly. I was initially trained on the machines by an experienced operator, and then I was sent on a fabric training course, because I originally qualified in a different sector." SPOTLIGHTON 14 Our 100% 50% 100% Lean approach launch Overhaul of company orientation programme/ job training Annual briefing for all staff 15 Our Company social network roll-out Digital 2.0 signage in the factory Lean management training and support Focus INTERNAL COMMUNICATION THE KEY TO OUR APPROACH Internal communication is key to change, project success and good relationships between departments. At TDV Industries, we harness digital channels to share our news and build our collective message via an editorial committee. Today, it is vital to build a staff community and use enriched multimedia content to inform stakeholders. Topics include operational results, social projects, illustrations, snippets of practical information, etc. Dynamic digital displays are now being used on our site to help break down barriers between the different departments and business processes. TDV Report 14 - p. 11

HUMAN RIGHTS AND BUSINESS ETHICS "share good practice with our partner suppliers" Responsible sourcing means reducing our environmental impact, and above all sharing numerous economic, social, environmental and societal challenges with our suppliers. By integrating these challenges into our responsible sourcing policy, we both reduce our supply chain risks and improve our overall performance. Risk prevention, ethics and transparency are at the heart of TDV's responsible sourcing policy. p.12 - TDV Report 14

WE OPERATE A RESPONSIBLE SOURCING POLICY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR STRATEGIC SUPPLIERS SPOTLIGHTON 14 Our 50% 100% of raw materials suppliers evaluated on their performance Our medium-term sourcing goal: for all stakeholders in the purchasing process to become partners within a system based on strong, lasting, sustainable win-win relationships: By signing the "TDV responsible sourcing" charter, each partner pledges to respect human rights and the environment, regardless of the country in which they operate Prospective suppliers are made aware of the spirit of the Global Compact: progress through simple, repeated actions can achieve great things All the suppliers on our panel meet each and every one of our ethical criteria 25% 50% Traceability in our new IT system for 100% of finished products Undertake specific projects to fight corruption My experience Michel BIANCHI Sales Manager NEE/CEE/Iberia/Western Europe "Huntsman and TDV share a vision and values - integrity, respect and sustainable development, for example. Our strong partnership goes back a number of years, and it has lasted thanks to the highly technical products we supply. By working together on a daily basis, Huntsman and TDV teams improve products and processes to constantly boost efficiency and reduce our environmental footprints as far as possible." 15 Our 80% of our supplier panel has signed the TDV responsible sourcing charter 3 audits carried out by the Purchasing Department or a third party Focus HUNTSMAN'S CODE OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT Our vision of a better world At Huntsman, our commitment to transmitting our values of honesty, integrity, respect and responsibility brings us together across the world and helps us promote high ethical standards in our relations with our staff, our customers and everyone with whom we do business. It is vital that we all observe and promote the company values, because they guide us in making the right decisions day to day. Huntsman, dye and chemical manufacturer. TDV Report 14 - p. 13

SOCIETAL RESPONSIBILITY "WE PLEDGE TO REDUCE OUR NEGATIVE EXTERNALITIES TOGETHER" By taking the necessary decisions today to stabilise emissions of greenhouse gases, and in particular CO 2, humanity could limit the global temperature rise to 2 C between now and 50. Issues relating to climate change have become a key challenge for businesses. As well as having direct effects on production methods and conditions and introducing new constraints for businesses, they have brought a number of opportunities to the fore. p.14 - TDV Report 14

THE ARBRE DE VIE coton solidaire* PROGRAMME, TO FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE TDV Industries and the company's stakeholders built a strong relationship with Africa when they created an organic, fair trade, Max Havelaar certified cotton range. In 11, they decided to take this relationship forward by launching a co-development aid programme for Africa, mainly in Mali. This is how the Arbre de Vie coton solidaire programme began. Arbre de Vie is an ongoing reforestation programme to plant a threatened species of tree, the fruit of which produces an oil used as an organic pesticide in growing organic cotton. Through this development aid programme, we have contributed to preserving resources, safeguarding biodiversity, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving socio-economic conditions locally, working to overcome the challenges of the professional fabrics industry and make the circular economy a reality. Focus OUR GUIDE TO THE PARIS CLIMATE CONFERENCE 15 My experience Abdoulaye Diakite Agricultural Engineer, Mobium, Mali The Paris Climate Change Conference - COP 21 - will be held from 30 November to 11 December 15. It will take place at Paris-Le Bourget, and some 50,000 people are expected to attend. This major international event will mark a decisive step in the negotiation of the international agreement due to enter into force in. The aim is to achieve a binding and universal agreement on the climate. The challenge will be to move from a shared issue to shared solutions. SPOTLIGHTON 14 Our 100% 50% 50% Produce a circular economy fabric range for our clients Develop a well-being fabric Take part in the NQT (talent in inner cities) equal opportunities programme 15 Our Plant 500 trees as part of the Arbre de Vie, Solidarity and Cotton programme Sell 50,000m of circular economy fabric Develop innovative tissues to improve well-being in the workplace * This project works to combat three of today s ecological scourges simultaneously: Large scale deforestation and the drying of rivers Greenhouse gas emissions Pollution caused by intensive farming (pesticides, use of natural resources) Arbre-de-vie-cotonsolidaire/ "Here in Mali, we're planting the fabrics of tomorrow. We feel the positive effects of the Arbre de Vie coton solidaire programme on the ground here every day, economically, socially and environmentally. By producing organic cotton and selling it to you at fair prices, we have seen our incomes and living conditions improve. And what is more, we have achieved all this while conserving biodiversity and safeguarding the environment." TDV Report 14 - p. 15
