1 Additional Tools for Managers Organization Chart Talent Profile Notes
2 Managers Responsibilities As a manager, you have multiple responsibilities regarding the automated endeavortalent Management system: Entering your own information for the currently active functions: My Profile, Performance, and Learning. Clearly communicating information that enables your direct reports to enter goals/expectations and development plans. Ensuring that your direct reports have the necessary training or assistance to complete their tasks in the system. Completing manager tasks for each of your direct reports in a timely manner, especially for the Performance function. Being informed about your direct reports background experience, credentials and skill sets. Login via insidend.edu by clicking on the endeavor logo button or via edu
3 3 4 Functions and tools that managers need to understand relative to employees: 1 Home Dashboard: Go directly to tasks to be completed under My Tasks. Customize dashboard to add more reportlets. Team: Use Organization Chart to view own & others teams and drill down to direct reports Talent Profiles as well as their direct reports information. 3 Performance: Complete performance tasks for self & direct reports, view status of reviews, view past reviews 4 Notes: Document each direct report s accomplishment s and progress towards goals/expectations, behavioral competencies and development plans.
4 1 Home Dashboard : My Tasks From this standard Home Dashboard you can access To Do Items and customize it to make other information immediately visible to you. My Tasks 1 will list items that you need to take action on: your own performance process, your direct reports performance reviews, approvals ofcertifications certifications, etc. Clicking the Go button takes you to the section/tool where you can perform the task.
5 3 Home Dashboard Customize Use the 1 Quick Add button at the upper right of the dashboard to open up the list of reportlets that you want to add to your Home Dashboard. Click on the name of the desired reportlet to add. ( 3 Or, use the Customize button to add or delete a reportlet.)
6 3 4 Team: Organization Chart 1 Click on Team on the blue navigation bar to select the Organization Chart. Use the + or or to enlarge, shrink or move into view the boxes. 3 Uncheck the box to view only your reporting relationships. 4 To drill up or drill down to see higher or lower reporting levels, click on the arrow inside the box.
7 Team Employee Profile From the list on the left, click on the name of the direct report that you want to view. On Quick Links button, click the drop down arrow and select Employee Profile. 3 If your direct report has direct reports, you can to click on the arrow beside your direct report s name to see their team chart and access each of their team members Talent Profile information. 1 3
8 3 Team Employee Profile Click on Talent Profile 1 and then Summary, etc., to view the employee s career objectives, work experience, project experience, skills and so on. 3 This information serves to remind you of experiences and skills that the person has that may not be obvious in the everyday execution of the individual s position tasks.
9 Facts about TEAM Encourage your staff to upload a photo as it will appear along with their name, title, and hire date on the University s organizational chart in Endeavor & provides opportunity for face recognition. An individual s Talent Profile is viewable only by supervisors, managers or executives who have a reporting relationship with that person. Talent Profile information may be updated at any time. If one of your direct reports earns a new credential, you will see it on your To Do List under Tasks to approve.
10 Performance Management Dashboard From the Home Dashboard, select 1 Performance on the blue navigation bar. The Performance Dashboard will appear. My To Do List: Open items requiring gyour attention. My Past Reviews: Access your past reviews anytime by clicking on title. 3 Team Past Reviews: Access direct reports past reviews by clicking title. 4 Performance Review Status: Completion status of your own reviews. 5 Team Performance Reviews: View inputto to date for your direct reports reviews 6 Note: If some of your direct reports do not appear, click on 7 in the upper right of the reportlet to display the other employees.
11 1 Performance: Perform My To Do Items Note the tasks in My To Do List (Performance) 1 and select the item you want to work on by clicking Go. Note: Tasks include performance management tasks for you to perform for yourself and your direct reports. Due dates for each task are noted for each task.
12 Performance: Manager s Tasks Selecting Go in My To Do list opens up the performance form tab. The shaded step 1 is the one you need to complete and indicates what you need to do at that step. Steps 4 and 6 3 are also manager tasks to be completed. 4 Tabs at the top of the form represent the different sections of the form and you should always click on each of those to make sure you have entered the necessary information in each section. 5 Select when you have completed entry for your step to enable your direct report to complete their next step. (Select when you want your direct report to change something they entered in the previous step.)
13 Notes: Document Own or Others Performance Click on Notes in the upper right to open up the tool at any time. 1 Use the Calendar function to change dt date as needed. dd 3 Select Search function and then select Myself or My Team and click on the name of the individual you are entering information about. 4 Click in the Subject field (optional) to enter a title for the note. 5 Click in the Notes field and type in comments or paste in a copied message. 6 Save your entry by clicking Save.
