1 CRS PRODUCT TRAINING - COURSE CONTENT TRAINING MODULE The CRS Training Module assists users in managing employee training by enabling them to capture completed training, plan and schedule future training and record the employee s Educational History. The module also has the functionality to produce the information required to complete the Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report in the form of a Universal WSP. After completion of this module, users should be able to do the following: Update employees current and past Training Completed, Work Experience and Educational History; Capture both Planned and Actual training for employees; Create a Training Calendar as well as Training Bookings for planned employee training; Generate required Legislative and Executive Reports; Do basic administration in the Sub System Definitions Menu. EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MODULE The Employee Relations Module has been set up in such a way that it reflects the intervention steps that would normally be taken in the course of the daily practice of comprehensive Employee Relations. After completion of this module, users should be able to do the following: Update Employee Relation activities Record Employee Grievance records Generate Employee Relations Reports Create records of any external dispute mechanisms followed Generate relevant Notices and Warnings
2 RECRUITMENT MODULE The Recruitment Module is designed to assist users with the Recruitment Process by storing data related to the job vacancy as well as the relevant applicant pool. This module guides and assists the recruiter through the process, from creating a recruitment request for a vacancy, through to the appointment of the final candidate. It also allows users to maintain information and draw statistics based on exit interview results. Create a Recruitment Request and Interview Guide for a specific vacancy; Create and maintain an applicant pool within the system; Track the different steps and progress through the recruitment process; Perform basic Compensation Calculations to do Package Offers for candidates; Maintain data relating to Exit Interviews and draw analyses there on. EMPLOYMENT EQUITY MODULE The Equity module is designed to ensure that the Employment Equity Act is adhered to by storing the statutory data relating to Employment Equity, and by recording all employee movements within the company. This module guides and assists the employer to prepare an Employment Equity plan, to achieve Employment Equity goals, and generate Employment Equity reports on the results. Update Employment Equity and employee movement records Record employee training and disciplinary activities for Equity reporting Generate Employment Equity analyses i.e. workforce profile, income differentials, age analysis and equity movements analyses Compile an Employment Equity Plan and create filters Generate an Employment Equity Report
3 LEAVE MODULE The CRS Leave Module caters for all the processing requirements of leave administration. Annual, sick, unpaid and maternity leave are some of the examples of the various types of leave that can be handled. Create leave codes Set up leave security Capture employee leave Perform employee leave enquiries Generate employee leave reports Understand leave on DIY Create leave transactions on DIY Query leave transactions on DIY Run leave reports on DIY Understand the icalendar on DIY CRS BASICS The objective of this training is to explain the importance of accurate employee master processing and the procedures involved with this process. Basic navigation in the CRS system Create a new employee record Terminate an employee Maintain changes to employee master Process permanent earning/deduction changes Identify fields which are important for accurate reporting to SARS and other authorities How to import EMSIN/PAYIN files Understand different standard masterfile reports
4 PAYROLL OPERATIONS The objective of this training course is to create an understanding of payroll processing and reporting and covers the following: Introduction to MasterFile, Accumulators (Stat and Non-Stat), Earning&Deduction Codes, EDB Fields, etc. MasterFile Navigation (Rem and EmpMaster) Take-On of a New Employee Ways to influence a payslip (Gen Directive, Run Directive; Temp Input, MFile Input) The Payroll Process Other Types of Payruns Electronic Imports Utilities: Enquiries Nice to have: Documents, Letters, Reminders and User Tasks. YEAR END PROCESSING The objective of this training course is to familiarise the user with the CRS Year End process, and covers the following: Following year update process Clearing relevant accumulators SARS balancing Year-end schedules print
5 DIY The objective of this training course is to familiarise the user with the CRS employee self-service interface. The course covers the following: Basic navigation in DIY Modules available in DIY Using DIY to: view payslips reprint IRP5 s update personal details complete surveys and questionnaires upload documents apply for leave complete performance assessments book training lodge a grievance view compensation/package structure COMPENSATION MODULE The objective of this training course is to create an understanding of compensation and how this process fits into the daily payroll processing procedure. This course covers the following: How the compensation, remuneration and base modules are integrated with each other Defining the compensation structure according to company policy (screen painter) Setting up compensation calculations Defining different compensation structures for different employment types Interpreting information and values that flow through to the Remuneration module Creating compensation transactions for individuals and in batch Processing compensation records and calculation
