4 Coordinating AIT Use Throughout the Supply Chain Provides vision for using AIT for efficient and effective data capture within supply and distribution operations. 4 Implementation Plan CONOPS Intent is to facilitate mainstream logistics applications by identifying a baseline set of AIT. Identifies AIT for assets by consolidation layer moving materiel through various supply chain nodes. Development initiated following issuance of CONOPS. Living document with iterative approach to applying AIT at each layer of consolidation in the supply chain Initial release contains specific tasks to be completed during the first spiral of the implementation process.

12 Bangor RFID Evaluation (BRE) 1) Installation of prfid at Bangor receiving operations Production environment in March 06 Provides Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) Automates prfid tag reads via prfid portals and Handheld RFID/2D Bar Code devices RFID is a success story cost and logistics metrics bear this out BRE is three distinct prototype efforts 2) Conversion of their U2 WM application to SAP Replaces select legacy U2 WM applications BRE SAP code & configuration to serve as NERP s WM solution Initial implementation bugs are worked out 3) Implementing a warehouse wireless solution CDMA cell-based solution NMCI compliant alternative to Awaiting NETWARCOM approval No SAP WM conversions with future prfid deployments 12

13 Oahu prfid Initiative Navy Oahu prfid Implementations: Effort at Navy Shipyard PH, Advance Traceability and Tracking node (ATAC), and Kaneohe Bay s MALS-24 R-Supply Progress to date: Site surveys completed Electrical and LAN drops completed Equipment installs completed April 4 Testing in April April 21 st production environment DLA shipments to Navy on Oahu tagging at requisition level began 17 March Architecture Driving toward NMCI compliant solution expected approval Sept 2008 Short term DLA Network Globe Ranger to provide status transactions to legacy AIS: erms, MAT, DSS, and R-Supply 13
