1 A ﬂexible, low maintenance, high throughput Package Handling System For use with plastic/cardboard totes, maximum weight 30kg. Consisting of Straight Frames, within which are mounted ZLP Accumulation Zones or Roller Transfers and 30 degree Merging Spur Units RH and LH. The Straight Frames act as a host, Roller Transfers or ZLP Zones mounted in gaps between the Belt Guides. Electrical Panels are available for starting/stopping of the system as the design is almost totally independant of the conveyor layout they power. Speed ranging from 30 to 110m/min as standard Conveyor widths from 400mm to 800mm. Fully CE compliant. The robust pneumatic mechanism lifts packages from the moving belts of the transport straight. High grip surfaces ensure positive handling of load sizes down to 150mm. Used for merging packages onto a main line. Multiple belt ZLP (Zero Line Pressure) operates by lifting brake pads (and load upon them) up by an amount (nominally 20mm) sufficient to raise the load above the continually moving drive belt.

6 Multiple belt ZLP (Zero Line Pressure) operates by lifting brake pads (and load upon them) up by an amount (nominally 20mm) sufficient to raise the load above the continually moving drive belt. ZLP sections are very useful for creating areas of in line buffer accumulation. These sections can be used to absorb short-term peaks in throughput such as three or four boxes travelling very close behind one another. This is very useful prior to transfers or merges where whilst the transfer is busy, arriving loads can be orderly queued up awaiting their entry to the transfer position when it is free. 8 Merging spurs are used where one conveyor feeds into another. The loads are merged into the main line conveyor at an angle of 30 degrees. This 30 degree merging angle means that for a package to attain the same speed as the main line conveyor, the merge needs to be faster by a factor of 15%. 10 This is a Straight section that is fitted with a Roller Transfer. There are two variations: Single Track / Transfer This consists of a 2 metre long conveyor with a Transfer assembled into it. Assembly is supplied complete with the motor junction box to drive the Conveyor and one reversing junction box to drive the Transfer.
