Contents: Multi-modal transport provisions Classification criteria (9 hazard classes) Identification system (Dangerous Goods List) Packaging and testing Marking, labeling, and placarding Documentation (e.g., shipping papers) Training and general security 1
2 4 UN TDG Sub-Committee meetings - Over 400 working papers and informal documents submitted Dangerous Goods in Articles - Addresses articles containing amounts of dangerous goods exceeding the authorized LQ amount(s). - Reduce the number of new entries in the Dangerous Goods List by establishing criteria. However some articles may still only be authorized by approval; 2.3, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1,5.2, 6.1 (inhalation toxicity requiring PG I), and articles containing more than one hazard listed in (b), (c), or (d) new entries with appropriate hazard class/division (no Class 1, no Class 7). - New packing instruction and general packing provisions. PG II packaging required except for robust articles that require strong outer packagings or may be transported unpackaged in some cases.
