4 4 1. SAFETY ADVICE These operating instructions form an integral part of the equipment and must be available to the operating personnel at all times. All the safety instructions and advice notes are to be observed. Neither Teseq GmbH nor any of the subsidiary sales organizations or the manufacturer can accept any responsibility for personal, material or consequential injury, loss or damage that results from improper use of the equipment and accessories. WARNING: Improper or careless handling can be fatal! Use of the BTP 6020A is restricted to authorized and trained specialists. The tripod should be fixed so that it cannot break down or turn over whilst anybody is working on the antenna. Operate the equipment only in dry surroundings. Only approved accessory items, connectors, adapters, etc. are to be used to ensure safe operation. 2. DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT 5 The BTP 6020 collapsible tripod has been designed for indoor radiated emission an immunity testing; using Teseq antennas with 22 mm diameter tube mounts like CBL 6111, 6112, 6141 and With the optionally available rotating mount CHA 9440A the tripod can support CBL 6140 and CBL The horn antenna BHA 9118 can be fitted using adaptor CHA The loop antenna HLA 6121 can be fitted using adaptor BAA To minimise RF reflections, the tripod construction uses virtually no metallic components. The tripod offers continuous, stepless height adjustment. The legs are adjustable in length and angle. A convenient water level is fitting which helps to find the perpendicular position. The additional wooden floor stay improved the stability on smooth surfaces but can be removed if necessary. 6 6 4. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Step1: Set up the wooden floor stay and centre tube as shown in figure 3. Figure 3: Step 1 Step 2: Screw the rubber foots of all legs to have the tip available as shown in figure 5. 7 Step 4: Move the leg to have for example 65 mm distance as shown in figure 7. (65 mm is recommended for large X-wing antennas like CBL 6140 and CBL 6144) 7 Tighten the screw for the leg adjustment and repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other legs. Figure 7: Step 4 Step 5: Move the legs to have the right angle for the floor stay (If needed loosen/tighten the screws for the leg angle.) Set up the tripod on the floor stay and having the tube in the center. Figure 8: Step 5 Step 6: Fit the legs to the floor stay with the rubber ring. The tip needs to be fitted in the hole as the arrow shows in Figure 9. Figure 9: Step E02

8 8 Step 7: Ensure the top position of the hole for the mounting head. Figure 10: Step 7 Step 8 Mount the tube on the center tube. Press the plastic rings to make it less difficult. Move down the tube. Tighten all screws after setting up the tripod in a righted position. Figure 11: Step 8 Step 9: Mount the antenna head onto the tripod tube. Fit the mounting head with a screw.
