TV luorothermoplastic TV luorothermoplastic (a polymer containing tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride) provides a combination of per - formance advantages unmatched by any other melt processable fluoro ther moplastic, offering new opportunities to make multi-layer hoses, tubing, film, sheet, seals and containers. It is essential in a myriad of industries such as aerospace, automotive and chemical processing. Applications include wiring for nuclear plant control rooms, extruded and moulded valves, tubes and pipes, low permeation tubing, radiation resistant film and architectural films. It is used in moulded valves, pumps, tanks, filters and pipes, in heat trace cables and in wire for appliances, computers and in the aerospace industry. It is also used in several chemical industry and home appliance coatings applications. In addition, we have expanded this pro duct line to include ultra high purity (UP) grades for applications requiring low metal and anion extractables and low outgassing. In particular, the semiconductor market has chosen PA as the material of choice for wafer carriers, tubings, fittings, pump parts and other components. Because of its relatively low melting temperature, TE provides ease of processing and ability to process on equipment without the high level of corrosion resis - tance protection required by many other fluoroplastics. Various grades of TE can be used as wire and cable insulating materials, or can be extruded into films for chemically resistant linings or release layers. Dyneon researchers have developed a new emulsifier that exhibits a significantly improved Environmental, ealth and Safety profile. In addition, the performance properties of Dyneon fluoropolymer products are unchanged because the new emulsifier retains the technical performance of the emulsifier it replaced. This achievement allowed Dyneon to meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency s Voluntary POA Stewardship Program goals seven years ahead of time.
