13 Energy Label for existing boilers in Germany Scope of application: Germany (EnVKG) Jan 2016: voluntary (installers, energy consultant, etc.) Jan 2017: mandatory (chimney sweep) Gas and oil fired heat generators kw Minimum age 15 years (start with 30 years old boilers) Method, efficiency classes and layout based on ErP LOT 1 (but no measurements required) D Ministry of Economics will publish a model list, prepared by manufacturers Financed by the government, no costs for consumers Labelling of approx, 1.5 to 2.0 Mio boiler p.a. The label for existing boilers shall motivate the consumers to replace their inefficient boilers
