25 CHP: key for the succesful energy transition. for environment protection - high savings of climate-damaging emissions (up to 50 % CO 2 ) - highly efficient use of primary energy (savings of approx. 30 %) - decentralised energy generation prevents transport losses for security of supply - flexibility -> CHP generated electricity balances the fluctuating feed-in of the renewable energy sources - the grids overcapacity can be stored in battery storages or heat reservoirs (electric heating element) - controlled feed-in in times of max. remuneration - stability of the grid -> electricity is generated at the point of use (no transmission losses on the electricity grid) for our customers - the CHP unit reduces the owners energy costs and keeps the bills stabilized - the dependence on the electric company is being decreased to self-sufficiency - improves the environmental balance - lowers tax burden
