The site features a more modern look and greatly improved internet browser compatibility, among other features. Your current registrations and completed activities will remain as they are today. The New UC People Management Certificate Program This free, mostly online program is designed for anyone who manages or supervises others, or aspires to do so, and consists of core and elective courses covering the following competency areas: Performance Management Managing People Administration and Operations Change Management Communications In order to complete the certificate you must complete all 10 Core Courses and at least four Elective Courses. To download the UC People Management Series & Certificate Course List, click here. With the exception of one instructor-led course (Overview of the UCSB Performance Management Process, which will not be available this summer), all of the Core Courses and Elective Courses are system-wide online courses. All courses are available in the UC Learning Center (link is external) (Tip: Enter "PMCP" in the "Search" field on the Learner dashboard). 4 Supervisory Certificate Program (SCP) The Supervisory Certificate Program is designed to give staff professional development training in the key areas of supervisory and leadership competencies, policies and procedures and people skills. Courses can be taken as stand-alone courses or to complete the certificate program. This course will help you understand the major Federal and State Laws (FMLA, ADA, FEHA, CFRA, etc.) that cover employees with disabilities and the various different obligations you have as a supervisor or manager. Learn why hiring, managing and effectively communicating with an employee with a disability makes for a successful working environment.

Participation in one of the options is required, and you choose the one that s right for you. You will need to choose a primary UC retirement benefit option within 90 days of the date you become eligible. In general, your eligibility date is your hire date. 8 SEXUAL VIOLENCE/ SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Non-Supervisory Staff Tuesday, June 27th 9:00am 10:00am, Free Room: HR Learning Center, 3101DD, (SAASB) This instructor-led training is primarily for new non-supervisory staff. Other non-supervisory staff who need to complete the UC SVSH Prevention Training are welcome to attend. The course will include definitions of Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment, campus resources, bystander information, and the role of staff as a Responsible Employee. SPECIAL NOTE: SVSH Prevention training is no longer a requirement of the Supervisory Certificate Program. As part of the University of California s ongoing efforts to prevent and respond to sexual violence and sexual harassment, the Office of the President has launched a new comprehensive sexual violence and sexual harassment prevention training program that is required for all UC staff and faculty on payroll with active status.
