Measurement capability for O,,, NO, NO, SO, CxHy with EC (electrochemical sensors) and,, C H with IR sensors (NDIR). x y SPLIT architecture The new concept of split architecture applied to GreenLine 8000 combustion analyzer simplifies the test process. GreenLine 8000 consists of two sections: the gas analysis Main Control Unit (MCU) and the Remote Control Unit (RCU). The communication between the two sections is via a standard RS4. The MCU is a true, portable, flue gas laboratory. It includes: aspiration pump, filters, condensate drain with peristaltic pump, gas sensors and electronics. It can be positioned near the stack sampling point and it can work also as a stand alone unit (black-box). The operator can survey the overall operation at distance by using the Remote Control Unit. The RCU is used to display data, to store the analysis in memory, to printout data, and to transfer data to a PC. DBGas 000 software package helps the operator to manage analysis data. DBGas Gas Analysis Database Manager GreenLine 8000 can store 9000 readings structured by Tags. TM Using DBGas000 Windows software package, you can organize and manage your inspection and maintenance activity. DBGas 000 software package TM includes GasConfig Windows software. 3 Modularity and Operative flexibility Split architecture A new concept in Measurement and Analysis Systems The Clean Air Act, promulgated in U.S.A. in 1970, was certainly the first law that regulates air emissions from area, stationary and mobile source. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and other country or state Regulatory Agencies verify affordable and reasonable methods of achieving environmental compliance to verify stated emissions limits. A number of official Protocols have been promulgated to verify industrial emissions using portable analyzers to ensure air quality compliance. These Protocols are the guidelines that prescribe the technical performances of the electrochemical sensor based analyzers to be used, as well as calibration and testing procedures which should be followed to assure valid emission data. The new GreenLine 8000 shows technical specifications and performance in compliance with the above Protocols and therefore can be used in periodic testing in many countries, states and regions. The Eurotron analyzer is designed to meet the specific requirements, mostly related to sample conditioning, flow and temperature control. The most meaningfull compliance data are described in the Eurotron Application Bulletin, available on request. This bulletin compares the Protocol requirements with the specific Eurotron relevant feature built in to the GreenLine 8000 analyzer. Other operative modes include draft measurement, report printout, data logging and PC interface. The built-in impact type printer, using standard paper roll, allows operator to generate a full comprehensive and "long lasting report. The internal memory can store up to 9000 full analysis data point. The digital interface (RS3) allows communication with a PC for instrument configuration, data transfer, and storage. 3

4 Highlights Sensors technology The GreenLine 8000 analyzer uses long life temperature compensated EC (electrochemical) sensors. Expected life is over years for Oxygen and over 3 years for toxic gases on typical applications. They can also be supplied precalibrated for easy and immediate replacement. sensor is protected against overrange by an electrovalve and fresh air purge pump. IR Sensor The unit uses a non-dispersive Infrared (NDIR) dual wavelenght ratioing to get long term stable response sensitivity. Compensation of ambient temperature and pressure is automatic. Calibration A built-in procedure allows easy and automatic span sensor calibration using standard gas cylinder. Periodic zero calibration doesn't require to remove probe from stack; an internal electrovalve switch to an auxiliary pneumatic circuit for fresh air. A pneumatic connector for remote zero air is also available. Electronic Flow meter An automatic built-in system measures flow of sampling gas and adjusts the pump to obtain a constant sampling volume. A visual and acoustic alarm indicate a low rate. Multi Fuel selection GreenLine 8000 provides up to 10 fuels for calculating combustion values. Most used fuels for your country are preloaded from factory. Others fuels can be added using GasConfig PC software. Sampling system The built-in water trap drains condensate moisture periodically from the system with a peristatic pump. A dual filtering system (quartz + line) will clean the gas sample before the analysis. Gas probe Flue gas sampling probes with different length, shape and max. operating temperature (1500 F and 1800 F) are available to match the requirement of different applications. A sintered pre-filter is suggested for severe applications. Industrial probe & heated hose A heated sampling probe is available for industrial high temperature applications. A heated hose allows flue gas sampling without condensation. The internal cooler dries the flue gas and avoid diluition of NO and SO into the condensate. Long term monitoring The industrial design and the high technology applied to the GreenLine 8000, allows it to perform long term gas analysis. It is possible to acquire data at programmed intervals. Data will be stored in the internal MCU memory. An "intelligent" procedure allows to maximize the sensor life by switching the pump off, between acquisitions. Keyboard & Display RCU Keypad allows the operator to enter all operative modes following easy menu driven instructions. A high contrast graphic LCD (44 x 6 mm) is equiped with a backlight device. It displays the measured and the calculated parameters in your preferred format (Zoom function 3, 6 or 1 lines). Built-in printer The RCU is equipped with a builtin, rugged impact printer. It uses a low cost common roll of paper (58 mm large, 18 meters long). 6 Specifications T+RH% probe Optional probe for simultaneous measurement of ambient temperature and relative humidity (%RH) for index of comfort measurements. Ambient probe An optional probe to monitor ambient concentration to keep the operator in a safe ambient. The instrument gives acoustic and visual alarm if the set limits (according to the OSHA recommendation) are exceeded. Gas sniffer probe To detect and locate the position of a gas leak into pipe network. Gas velocity An internal procedure allows gas velocity measurement using the differential pressure inlet combined with a pitot tube. Auxiliary inputs Two scalable 4-0mA are available to measure and to store process parameters.
