8 Duroval Fittings Dura -Seal REDUCERS Dura-seal is a complete, patented, self-sealing ductwork system. Quality control and modern manufacturing techniques ensure that the unique, mechanically fixed rubber seal firmly secures and protects the fitting against damage. Dura-seal has been designed to satisfy Australian standards for ductwork products. Dura-seal is available in a complete range from 80mm to 315mm pipe and fittings which are a compatible system allowing great flexibility and efficiency in installation. The tubing is either galvanised or aluminium construction. The simplicity of installation can be accomplished with unskilled labour, as press fitting is all that is required. The rubber seal is leak proof and requires no additional sealant. It is ideal for confined locations and difficult installations

Adjustable twisting and fine adjustments involve no risk of leakage and simplifies difficult installation areas. Environmentally friendly, as Dura-seal is fitted without sealants containing solvents. Can be installed quickly in all kinds of weather. Temperature resistant -30 o C to 100 o C. Dura-seal withstands both negative and positive pressures up to 3000PA (300mmW1 water level). Internal production control to close tolerances and reproducible components. Aesthetic design, which is an advantage for visible installations. No special skills required for installation. Wide range of fittings available the system is very versatile. Matching pipe can be specified to customer s required lengths. Duraduct Insulated Spiral Duct Systems, in round or oval doubled walled, internally insulated duct and fittings, consist of an outer pressure tight metal shell, a layer of fire resistant fibreglass or Polyester insulation and an internal acoustic perforated, or plain metal liner. Fittings are factory produced to ensure properly matched dimensions to fit all sizes of round or oval Duraduct pipes. All types of fittings, as shown on general range fitting and data sheets, are available. Inner and outer ducts can be manufactured with two small corrugations between the spiral seams for added circumferential strength. Acoustic perforations are standard 10% to 13% open area, larger perforations are available on request

11 Vent Tubes On-Site Management When quantity or location warrants, Duraduct can manufacture the round tubing on-site. Site Requirements: - Covered level solid base area 6 x 10m. - Electricity supply: 415 volts 40 amp and 240 volt 15amp - Air and water - Lifting facilities for machinery and steel coils. Other uses: - Column and void formers for concrete structures. - Culverts for drainage and irrigation. - Pile liners. - Air conditioning ductwork. - Pneumatic conveying ductwork. - Pressure pipe for air and water. - Detention Tanks for storm water management Duraduct Lockseam tubing for the ventilation (supply or exhaust) of mines, tunnels and shafts can be used as a temporary vent line during construction or as a movable permanent installation. The tubing is machine made using a 4 ply lock seam, running helically around the outside of the tube, giving a very smooth and efficient interior surface. For circumferential strength, corrugations are formed between the spiral seams during the manufacturing process. These corrugations aid in resisting collapse of the duct from abnormal negative pressures or accidental damage from other equipment in use. The tubing is normally made from a coated (zinc or paint) mild steel strip, but other materials such as uncoated mild steel, stainless steel or aluminium can be used. A range of round or oval shaped sizes are available. JOINING METHODS Void Formers V oid F ormers: Void constructed decks and bridges with long spans allow substantial savings in building costs and improved space planning. The tubes produced by Duraduct fulfil all requirements for void formers in reinforced concrete construction. Inside seams and corrugations give a smooth external surface for ease of handling, with simplified fixation of end lids, supplied as flat or bullnosed type. Corrugation profiles are designed for complete economy and safety; they permit the use of superlight gauge material, while making possible uninterrupted concreting of all diameters without the risk of tube collapse or unwanted deformation. Duraduct Void & Column Forming Tubes have a multiplicity of uses in numerous building projects, particularly where long span construction is required, such as with concrete floors in any industrial or commercial situation, or where concrete slabs are needed for other purposes. They can also be used for ventilation ducts and electrical conduit and cable channels. Duraduct's 'Corru-Void' metal tubing, designed in Sweden and manufactured in Australia, has a very high radial stiffness which is suitable in saving material content in concrete floor and slab constructions. In addition, they are an economical solution for piles and pillars. These columns may be left in situ or later stripped. Through its special corrugating design, the Duraduct 'Corru-Void' tube can be directed to reducing the area of a particular section being created, thereby saving not only the concrete used but the total overall weight. By using 'Corru-Void' an average 40 percent reduction in concrete weight can be achieved. In any building project, such a saving favourably effects the ground work, frame and /or the reinforcements, while allowing for better space planning. Corru-Void: Corru-Void is made as standard from galvabond. Special orders can be accommodated in other materials such as, mild steel or colorbond sheet. Corru-Void has an unsurpassable weight and strength ratio due to the specially formed corrugation profiles and is supplied in diameters up to 1500mm, in any transportable length. Corru-Void fulfils all requirements for void formers in concrete slab construction. NOTE: Material thickness per diameter can be selected & recommended by Duraduct to suit your specification negative or positive pressures. We have conducted many tests in this regard as guide-lines for efficient pricing. Further details and samples of the above joints can be supplied on request. 12 Column Former/Pier Liner Duraduct s Steel Spiral Tubing for concrete formwork, is machine made using a 4 ply lock seam, running helically around the tube. It can be produced in a round or oval form and has a range of round sizes from 75mm to 5000mm diameter and oval sizes from 76 x 318mm to 914 x 1633mm. They can be made from uncoated mild steel or coated mild steel (using either paint or zinc) and can be supplied in exact cut lengths-no wastage. For large projects, we can save transport costs and manufacture the round tubing on your site - anywhere in Australia. Duraducts Spiral Tubing can be supplied with or without corrugations - for a smooth A class finish. Lightweight and easy to handle, it eliminates costly traditional methods of column forming or pile linings. Minimum supports required. Column forms are easily stripped spirally or with verticle cut grinder. Superior strength for weight because of it s helical lockseam at approximately 120mm centres. Manufactured from strong Australian steel, it is less suseptable to site transport damage, or abnormal wet weather. Duraducts Pile Liners have strong lockseams and corrugations to prevent leakage or collapse from side pressures. Can be used as permanent or temporary liners. 13 Culvert Corrugated Steel Pipe Culvert Corrugated Steel Pipe cacn be manufactured in diameters ranging from corrugated 200mm up to 5000mm, in metal thickness of 0.5mm to 3.0mm. Its lock seam fabrication endows the pipe with great strength, which makes it a natural choice for culvert, storm water, sub-soil drainage and other irrigation projects. However, Duraduct can be manufactured using materials other than galvanised steel, such as stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium or copper; with or without corrugations and has a multiplicity of other uses, including: Pile casing Liners Concrete Formers and Voids for Concrete Structures Ventilation and Air Conditioning Flue Stacks and Fume Exhausts Dust Collection and Pneumatic Conveying High Pressure Pipe for pumping air and water On-Site Management If the quantity of pipe required is sufficient, Duraduct can manufacture the corrrugated steel pipe on your site. This can substantially reduce transport costs, as we can move our machinery and steel coil with significant ease compared to the cost of transporting large quantities of large diameter pipes, which do not maximise space to weight. HDPE Pipe with Duraduct Steel Casing Poly Pipe Poly-pipe is a composite pipe comprising of an inner poly (HDPE) lining and an outer spiral steel casing. This combination allows fluids to be transported at higher pressure. Poly-pipe features: High pressure rating. Steel spiral casing enhances the pressure rating of the Poly-pipe. Abrasion resistance. Poly-pipes have excellent abrasive resistant qualities in slurry applications. Chemical resistant. Outstanding resistance to a wide range of corrosive chemical fluids. Easily supported. Unlike standard Polyethylene or Polypropylene pipes, Poly-pipe can be supported on standard pipe supports. High flow. The characteristics of the Poly lining inhibits the build up of deposits. As such a smooth internal bore will be maintained throughout the life of the pipe. We offer M.I.G. or T.I.G. welding alternatives as standard, with Sub-Arc available by specific arrangement. Tubes are normally supplied with plain ends, but various end treatments can be supplied by request, including welded flanges, shoulder rings or rolled grooving. A complete range of fabricated fittings are available to match every tube size produced. These include bends, reducers, tees and transitions.
