28 The VISSIM Interface - How it Works Signal Timings (UTC Fixed Time or SCOOT) Additional VISSIM Detectors can act as Bus Beacons or triggers for SASS and Gating VISSIM Detectors provide Occupancy data, in same way as SCOOT loops Second-by-second data transfer Stage Confirmation data Second-by-second data transfer VISSIM replicates the street VISSIM detectors provide flow data or other inputs SCOOT optimises timings and updates VISSIM All done in a safe off line environment
