2 Executive Summary IHTSDO completes an annual work planning process involving its members to establish a program of work for each financial year. Financial years run from 1 st Jan to 31 st December The work program consists of a combination of one year and multi-year work items This document provides details of the main projects within each line of business

3 Content & Mapping

4 Anatomy Consultant Terminologist Program CMT Customer Requests Default Drug Model Dentistry Updating of Anatomy content and ICD-0 Map. Develop a cadre of consultant editors who have demonstrated the necessary knowledge and skill to carry out editorial policy development. CMT Collaboration agreement - provision of content for review and updating of content in the International Release. Dealing with request submissions and authoring the required content enhancements. Development of a default SNOMED CT model to support the development of national drug models utilising the SNOMED CT concept model content and RF2 release format. American Dental Association (ADA) Collaboration agreement - provision of updated content provided by the Dentistry SIG as part of agreement.

5 Drug Content Functioning ICD-11 alignment work Intervention, plans, orders and goals LOINC Medical Devices Development of an updated set of editorial guidance for drug content in the International Release. Updating the existing SNOMED CT drug content in the International Release to align with the updated editorial guidance. Development and incorporation of functioning content in to the International Release for specified use cases. Alignment of SCT content with ICD-11, and incorporation of the new content into the International Release. Implementation of recommendations from the Event, Condition and Episode Group. IHTSDO/LOINC Collaboration agreement including bi-annual release of LOINC content in the International Release and production of derivatives. Further development of LOINC aligned content. IHTSDO/GMDNA Collaboration - planning for the incorporation of medical devices/gmdn content into the International Release, updating of existing SNOMED CT device content.

6 Mapping Guidance Documentation Mapping SNOMED CT to ICD-10 Some key guidelines and principles that enable SNOMED CT content to be mapped for use in legacy applications. Bi-annual update and quality assurance of map. Mapping SNOMED CT to ICD-9-CM Bi-annual update and quality assurance of map. Mapping Support Provision of expert advice to Members and End Users and liaison activities through Specialist Groups. Nursing International Council of Nurses (ICN) Collaboration agreement provision of updated content provided by the Nursing SIG as part of the agreement. Observables Implementation of Observables Model in line with the guidance created by the Observables Project Group.

7 Orphanet SCT Quality Management Situations/Conditions Subset Maintenance Substances Orphanet Collaboration agreement - provision of content and linkage table as agreed in the annual work plan for the agreement. The IHTSDO is committed to undertaking these activities through the guidance of the Content Managers Advisory Group. The group will prioritise the activities to be undertaken, and also the schedule for their delivery. Revision of current situations content, separation of content into concepts with procedural context and observation results. Bi-annual update of released subsets. Includes GF/FP (WONCA) subset, ICPC2-SNOMED CT Linkage table, Nursing Diagnosis Subset and Nursing Intervention Subset. Implementation of revised substances model and provision of updated editorial and implementation guidance.

9 Document maintenance and updates Documentation around new development and emerging requirements E-Learning Service Updates to existing documentation and ensure that documentation platform (i.e. Confluence) is set up to effectively structure and manage more collaborative editing of documents with real-time updates where appropriate. Implementation and updates to related Documentation from new developments and emerging requirements for more detailed guidance of specific topics. Management of E-Learning courses, oversight of assessments, provision of webinars and other interactive training for advanced courses. Responses to E-Learning questions on topics covered in the course, support for national experts engaged in delivery of webinar and interactive course support in Member Countries.

10 E-Learning Course Maintenance and Sharing E-Learning Course Development Implementation support activities Assessment maintenance and updating of training materials based on feedback. Facilitating the effective sharing of materials with Members to enable translation. Advising translators as necessary on technical points of the education material to support the development of equivalent and consistent assessments in other languages. Continued development of courses, including re-use of materials in different contexts, with the objective of removing obstacles to adoption by enabling more focused training. Provision of Implementation advice in response to questions and enquiries. Support Members, Customer Relations Team and Collaboration partners with Implementation support as required.

12 Authoring Tool Human Readable Product Review and Response Service Managed Service - Workbench Release Management Support and Service Management Continued development of the Authoring Tool for IHTSDO now and Member use towards the end of Development of a service to enable collaborative review and feedback of products released by IHTSDO. Continued support for the Workbench until the Managed Service is migrated to the new Authoring Tool. Management of the SNOMED CT Production Release process for the International Release and Derivative Products.
