4 Radial-Flow Odor Control System Carbon Adsorbers The new era in odor control systems Our unique radial-flow odor control systems are designed to be a low cost, highly effective system for removing H2S and other odor producing compounds from municipal wastewater applications. These systems can utilize a wide variety of adsorbent media(s) for your specific treatment needs. The radial-flow unit provides the following benefits: Lower capital cost than caustic scrubbers, biofilters or deep bed systems Lower operating cost than deep bed systems Smaller footprint High reliability Low maintenance or operator intervention required No confined space entry required for media replacement Reduced chance of short circuiting or channeling (unified face pressures) Low pressure drop thus lower horsepower blowers Utilizes a wide variety of media and mixtures of media for specific treatment needs Process Description Foul air enters the vessel from the outer plenum and is then diffused through the media bed towards the center. The H2S (or other contaminates) are adsorbed and the clean air is discharged through the top of the vessel. Serviceability One of the greatest benefits of this design is the ease of media replacement. The media is accessed from the top of the vessel, with NO confined space entry required. 5 Carbon Adsorbers Deep Bed Odor Control System The standard in adsorption systems The deep bed line of odor control systems are designed to be a low cost, highly effective system for removing H2S and other odors from municipal wastewater applications. The systems can utilize a wide variety of adsorbent media(s) and mixtures for the specific treatment needs. The deep bed odor control system provides the following benefits: Lower capital cost than caustic scrubber or biofilters No chemical usage or storage required High efficiencies of H2S and organic odor removal Smaller footprint than biofilters High reliability Low maintenance or operator intervention required Flexibility, due to wide range of available options which allows customization Ease of installation Excellent corrosion resistant properties for long service life. Can utilize a wide variety of media and mixtures of media for specific treatment needs Process Description The deep bed odor control system utilizes two basic designs as shown below. For single bed systems, the air enters the bottom and travels upward and is diffused through the media bed and exits the top. For dual bed systems, the air enters the center of the vessel and travels upward and downward and diffuses through both beds. The upward flow exits through the top and the downward flow exits through a collection duct that runs from the bottom through both beds and out the top. Single Bed Dual Bed 5

6 Carbon Adsorbers Lo-Flow Odor Control System Economical odor control system The lo-flow odor control systems are designed to be a low cost, highly effective canister for removing H2S and other compounds from a variety of applications at flows up to 800 CFM. These systems can utilize a wide variety of absorbent medias for specific treatment needs. Our lo-flow systems come with optional high quality corrosion resistant fans that are sized for the specific air flow and pressure needs. 7 Carbon Adsorbers Manhole Odor Control Unit Our manhole odor control unit is a compact, modular unit designed to remove unpleasant odors such as hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans and other organic odors venting from sewer conveyance manholes. One of the unique benefits of the manhole odor control unit design is the ease to perform media replacement. The manhole odor control unit offers the following features & benefits: Eliminates unpleasant odors No energy requirements No moving parts Corrosion-resistant construction Easy to install Simple & effective. Media is replaceable Two standard sizes designed to fit round manholes ranging from 16 to 37 diameter. Vent-A-Sorb Enduro s Vent-A-Sorb is designed to treat nuisance gases from venting applications. The Vent-A-Sorb has a treatment capacity of up to 20 cubic feet per minute (cfm) of continuous service. The Vent-A-Sorb can handle a variety of air contaminants such as: Hydrogen Sulfide Mercaptans Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Other nuisance or odorous compounds The Vent-A-Sorb can be used for a variety of applications where low flows of gases are being discharged and containment of these gases are required or desirable. The Vent-A-Sorb comes in a variety of sizes and connections. It is made of long life schedule 40 PVC. The useful life in most applications is one to two years. Please specify media type and connection size when ordering. Note: Consult Enduro on expected media life for your application. Dispose of spent system according to local regulations. 7

8 Biofilters Biological Odor Control Systems High performance with low operating cost Enduro Composites offers a wide variety of biological odor control systems to fit your specific application. These systems offer a high level of performance with very low operating costs. We believe each project has specific criteria and limitations which must be taken into consideration to choose the most effective and efficient biological system. Capital cost, operational costs, maintenance requirements, performance expectations, available footprint, and many other factors are considered when designing a system. They utilize a long-life inorganic media bed, which creates an ideal environment for bacteria to grow and oxidize the foul odors. These systems can be designed as stand-alone units, or used as a pretreatment stage before a Biofilter or activated carbon system. Biofilters Biofilters are designed to provide excellent odor removal, treating a broad range of odorous compounds. Our systems utilize an inorganic long-life media to create an ideal environment for microorganisms to flourish. Our systems have a proven track record, providing years of reliable, trouble free service. These systems can be designed as packaged, modular systems, or designed around in-ground concrete basins. 9 Chemical Scrubbers Packed-bed Odor Control System Configured to meet specific treatment objectives Enduro offers a complete line of packed-bed chemical scrubbers to effectively treat hydrogen sulfide or ammonia. They can be configured as required to meet your specific treatment objectives. The systems can be vertical, horizontal, reduced height, or multi-stage designs. Each design utilizes time-tested technology to meet your expected performance. All incorporate random-dump high efficiency packing. 10 Accessories Grease Filter / Mist Eliminator The Grease Filter / Mist Eliminator is a simple component designed to prevent mist and grease from entering downstream treatment equipment. It uses stainless steel and polypropylene mesh pads to entrain the mist and grease particles in the airstream. The standard eliminators are designed for 99% removal of 20 microns or larger. Custom designs are available. Standard Components: FRP or PPL Housing Sound Enclosure Flanged Inlet/Outlet Stainless Steel/ Polypropylene Mesh Pad Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gauge Drain Grease Filter / Mist Eliminator Sound Enclosures The sound attenuation package is designed to reduce the level of sound (dbs) being generated by blowers. It is constructed of high quality FRP with a sound deadening material attached to the inside. Each system is manufactured specifically for each application to ensure proper fit and alignment. Bed Monitor The bed monitor is a reliable method of evaluating the system s performance by identifying compounds and quantifying their concentrations. A passive system, it continually monitors for specific compounds of concern. The main compounds that the bed monitor can detect and quantity are: Hydrogen Sulfide -.2 ppm to 40% Mercaptans 2.5 ppm to 240 ppm Dimethly Sulfide 1 ppm to 15 ppm Ammonia 1 ppm to 15% Many other organic and inorganic compounds Ductwork Enduro can fabricate FRP pipe and duct in virtually any diameter, length, and configuration. It can either be filament wound or contact molded. To reduce field assembly time and project cost, Enduro can pre-spool your order in the longest practical shippable lengths. 10 Ductwork
