1 Food Pantry Donation Tracking Story Many Non-Profit companies (especially food pantries) rely heavily on donations (monetary, services, goods) to fulfill their mission. Many Food Pantries have built up a regular donor base which make donations to their campaigns in addition to the one-time donors. The donations department within the Food Pantry is responsible for tracking each donation received. As part of a campaign, the department will reach out to their donor base to solicit donations as well as reaching out to the community at large to try and meet their goals. While campaigns are underway, the number of donations received each day will significantly increase in response to their efforts. The Fiori app we will create will provide a quick way to the user to enter a donation against a campaign and generate a Thank you response to the donor. Meet Jerry P a g e 1

2 Donation Tracking Process Current User Experience Journey Duration of the Journey: 30-60min Point of View Jerry, the Donor Assistant needs a way to quickly enter donations so he can spend his time on soliciting donations rather than entering and tracking donations. 3 Campaign Summary Jerry is initially presented with a list of current giving campaigns in a master-detail view. When he selects a campaign in the list it displays the details for the campaign broken down into two tabs summary and donations. The Summary tab (shown here) displays the roll up progress on the campaign. Campaign Donations Next Jerry selects the Donations tab. He is presented with the list of donations previously entered for the selected campaign. At any point Jerry can click the Add Donation button to easily enter a new donation for the campaign. 4 Add Donation On the Add Donation screen Jerry can quickly enter the details of the donation and generate a Thank You letter back to the Donor to confirm receipt of the donation. When Jerry clicks the Save button the donation is logged and the Campaign summary and donations tabs are updated and he is returned to the Campaign Details page. Donor Details From the Donations tab Jerry can also click on any of the donations in the list to view additional details about the Donor. The Donor Information includes the contact information for the Donor as well as a timeline of contacts with the donor showing all the previous donations and solicitation requests. By using the Donation Tracking Fiori app Jerry can quickly enter all his donations, check the progress of each campaign and easily view donor information in order to solicit new donations. P a g e 4

5 Development Challenge For the Development Challenge a subset of the design was implemented to show the display of the campaign donations, donor details along with a donation history and a screen to all entry of a new donation. In addition to the Fiori app, additional Fiori applications will need to be created to cover some of the other process scenarios (Donor Profile Creation, Campaign Analytics, etc.). These additional Fiori applications are outside the scope of the Development Challenge due to the time constraints. SAP Web IDE App Prototype You Tube Link : Launchpad When our Persona Jerry goes to his Fiori Launchpad he will see the tile for the Donation Tracking Fiori application. Selecting the Tile will take Jerry to the initial Campaign list. P a g e 5

6 Campaign Donations Jerry starts by selecting a Campaign from the list on the left side. He is presented with a summary of the donations that have been previously entered for the selected campaign. At any point Jerry can click on one of the Campaign Donation records to view the Donor Details Donor Details The Donor Details screen includes the contact information for the Donor as well as a list of all the previous donations this Donor has made. When Jerry is done reviewing this information he can simply select the back icon at the top of the Campaign list to return to the Donations page. P a g e 6

7 Campaign Details Returning to the Campaign Details page Jerry can select the Add Donation button to log a new donation for this Campaign. Clicking the button will display the Add Donation page. Add Donation On the Add Donation page, Jerry will select the Donation Type using the drop down, the Donor that the donation is from and enter the Amount. He also has two additional check boxes to indicate if he wants to automatically generate a Thank You letter to the donor after saving the donation and if the letter needs a personal note added before mailing to the Donor. By using the Donation Tracking Fiori app Jerry can quickly enter all his donations, check the progress of each campaign and easily view donor information in order to solicit new donations. P a g e 7
