1 Project Description: National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) is currently methodologies to determine benefit sharing which implementing the first GEF national project on ABS will help in better : with the support from United Nations Environment v Implementation of the Act and inform national Programme (UNEP) and the Global Environment decision makers on prioritizing conservation Facility (GEF), the Ministry of Environment and action; Forests (MoEF), Government of India. This project is being implemented in the states of Andhra Pradesh, v Development of tools, methodologies, guidelines Gujarat, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh and and frameworks inter alia, on PIC, MAT, MTA; Sikkim. The executing organizations includes NBA, v the 5 State Biodiversity Boards, UNEP-Division of Benefit sharing agreements for realizing ABS Environmental Law and Conventions (UNEP - provisions will help in developing ABS DELC), United Nations University - Institute of agreements.
