The ChromSep Cartridge System comes complete with both analytical and guard cartridges. Everything you need to start your analysis! ChromSep cartridge columns can be quickly replaced without tools. The integrated guard cartridge minimizes dead volume. And, the Chromguard cartridge is available for use with conventional HPLC analytical columns. In addition to ease-ofuse, the ChromSep Cartridge System reduces costs by allowing you to reuse column housings. Plus, the ChromSep Cartridge System is guaranteed to perform to the tightest and highest operating specifications of any HPLC column today. Economical Using Varian's ChromSep Cartridge System is one way that we can help you achieve cost savings in today's competitive economic environment. The most expensive part of any HPLC column is the end fittings. If your lab uses conventional columns, every time you throw away a spent column you are probably throwing away end fittings that could be reused. The Varian ChromSep Cartridge System addresses this dilemma. With this system you only buy the expensive part, the end fittings, once! The next time a column needs replacing, you simply remove the spent cartridge and replace it with a new cartridge. Cartridges are available individually or in economy packs of three. ChromSep replacement cartridge columns: economical 3-pack Flexible ChromSep also offers flexibility to suit your laboratory's particular needs, reducing the number of different columns you need to purchase. If you want a column for traditional separations, you can select a 150 mm long column. Need more separation power? Simply replace the cartridge with a 250 mm length. For very fast separations or screening techniques, you can select from 10, 20 or 30 mm column lengths. With ChromSep column housings available in lengths of 10, 30, 50, 100, 150, 250 and 300 mm, flexibility is at your fingertips mm conventional columns for traditional chromatography and 100 mm columns for speed and efficiency - 50, 30 and 10 mm ultra-fast columns for screening techniques, e.g. LC-MS and LC-MS-MS For the ultimate in flexibility at the lowest cost, a lab should maintain an inventory of cartridge holders in various lengths. When there is a need for a shorter or longer column, alternate cartridges can be purchased and used with the appropriate holder and end fittings from your inventory. Equipping your laboratory with a variety of different length column holders gives you the ultimate in flexibility. Matching column ID to your particular application is easy with ChromSep since IDs of 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 or 4.6 mm are available. You may choose a typical 4.6 or 4.0 mm columns, or you may prefer to save on solvents and increase sensitivity by selecting a 2.0 or 3.0 mm ID column. For example, a 3.0 mm ID column saves you 40% on mobile phase when compared to a 4.6 mm column and no major HPLC system adaptations are required. The 2.0 mm ID columns are ideal for LC-MS applications and screening techniques. Short, small diameter, high-efficiency columns dramatically reduce analysis time whith LC-MS when compared to conventional columns. Also, glass columns are available for metal-free applications.

Even if you don't use ChromSep for analytical separations, you can still realize the benefits of this high performance cartridge system. Protect your conventional analytical HPLC columns with the economical Chromguard cartridge. The Chromguard cartridge uses the same hardware and cartridges as the ChromSep Cartridge System and is completely compatible with standard analytical columns. The Chromguard cartridge is easily replaced and is available in two lengths; 10 mm for high efficiency and 50 mm for especially contaminated samples. Guaranteed Performance Every step in the manufacture and testing of a ChromSep column is critically controlled and monitored for traceability and verification of manufacturing processes. Each column is tested against key chromatographic performance criteria so that you only use columns that perform to the highest operating specifications. Easy to Use In addition to economy and flexibility, the ChromSep Cartridge System is also easy to use. When it is necessary to replace the cartridge, no tools are required! Simply remove the finger-tight end fittings, replace the spent cartridge, tighten the end fittings and you are ready to perform your next analysis. When replacing the cartridge you do not even have to break the fluid connections at the column inlet or outlet. Extended Column Life Valuable analytical columns are easily destroyed by sample impurities. Placing an inexpensive guard column before the analytical column traps impurities, protecting the analytical column. The ChromSep Cartridge System incorporates an integrated guard cartridge to protect your analytical column. The guard cartridge can be easily and quickly replaced again without the need for any tools. Replacement guard cartridges come in economy packs of five. The ChromSep Cartridge System's integrated design protects against the losses in efficiency often associated with external guard columns. Integrated guard cartridge minimises dead volume.
