8 The Nanotechnology Education Gap Estimates The National Science Foundation by 2015 companies employing these nano savvy workers will produce $1,000,000,000,000 of nano based products. by 2020 there will be a need for 6,000,000 nanotechnology workers worldwide. The National Nanotechnology Initiative there are only 400,000 (primarily researchers) currently working on nanotechnology worldwide.
