The paycheck includes YTD running totals. In addition, you can choose the number of days you want the paycheck to be available online. Specify which earnings are subject to garnishment at the rule level Specify values (percents, amounts, hours and the frequency of the exemption) for exemption variables that you use in the calculation rules. A single rate structure table replaces the following tables: Flat Age Graded Salary Percentage Service Rate What does the feature mean to you One place to setup benefit rates. On it, you define whether the rates are flat or percentage, the factors used (age, covered person, gender, etc.) and the operator factor. Then you used the Ben Rate table to define the plan specifics and rules. You can also define rates based on tax classes. If rates are split, then the matching tax class is required on the deduction code. This allows domestic partner coverage to be managed in a single plan and coverage code. Slide #55

Split premiums by tax classes for employees and employers All attributes calculating coverage for life insurance and disability plans are centralized in a common formula-based component. You can select from existing formulas to calculate life insurance coverage or create your own coverage calculation formula. What does the feature mean to you Allow you to create flexible plans based on wide array or scenarios using formulas. Delivered PeopleSoft has several uses in the Life insurance and Disability plans, but plans to use more in the future. You can use it for more than these 2 types now, if you wish to do the setup. For Life Insurance you can reduce coverage by age and configure as many dependent plans that you need. You can also track dependents using two or more plans, have a spousal life plan and can flag plans to be discriminatory. Slide #61

You may configure a domestic partner relationship so that they must be of the opposite sex. Employee Savings Plans The components have been streamlined making them more usable (ex: Limit Extension description) and added increased flexibility to limit processing and limit overrides. What does the feature mean to you Expanded plan functionality. Improved usability. Limit processing now supports 402(g), 457, 401(a) as well as Hardship Withdrawals and Contribution Suspensions. Limits also use the check date in the calculation process if the limit is reached within the same pay period (this fixed a problem of going over a limit) Slide #66
