1 Job Profile Definition Switch Applications Manager Introduction The Switch Applications Manager is a dynamic, driven and energetic individual who is focused and dedicated to the switching and EFT subject matter, aiming at being an expertlevel master with 5-8 years of experience in electronic payments industry solutions, banking infrastructure integration, security and compliance and possesses abilities to develop technologies and manage operations in Information Technology topics in the Switching Environment. Experience in design, managing and implementing complex financial projects for commercial banks, financial institutions and central banks with maximum efficiency in a PCI/DSS compliant environment. Extensive work experience in the Postilion Realtime Framework Platform, with historical knowledge of BASE24 Systems. Experience gained through working with card issuing/acquiring banks, national and International payment schemes, Central Banks, Transaction processors and software/hardware suppliers. Well informed on EMV standards for Chip and Encoding rules and regulations and Payment card knowledge which covers both card present and card not present payments, payment switch (card issuing/authorisation servers) EMV Chip and Pin knowledge (including ETEC/ADVT certification)), point of sale, settlement, networking, and payment related system security, PCI/DSS. Bank (Credit/Debit), Fuel, Loyalty, Pre-paid, Gift cards and Mobile Financial Services. Solid engineering background gained at school and through organizations and the excellent knowledge of the products were the key for the success in delivering large scale PCI/DSS and EMV compliance projects. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in multiple languages with multinational exposure to large budget projects within multi-cultural and cross functional teams.

3 Key Responsibilities Be able to conduct a Gap Analysis to advice on how to bridge the gaps between existing infrastructure and required infrastructure Exercise workshops to all the Rwandan banks to explain the scope, the change process and the strategic direction of any given project On site implementation (Payment Applications - Mission Critical Software) Fully maintain the production Postilion EFT systems, ensuring maximum availability & uptime as per the agreed Service Level Agreements Configuration of system parameters & implementing system changes as per business change control procedures Supporting the operation and monitoring of the production systems Ensure EFT systems are fully PCI compliant and all re-occurring security tasks (e.g. encryption key changes) are performed in a controlled manner Attending to and resolving customer queries and issues Provide technical support to the Client Services &Operations teams around EFT issues Assist Operational teams in preparing environment for maintenance procedures (OS patching) by re-routing transaction traffic to backup\secondary systems EFT software installations Ensuring all system documentation, relating to the EFT environment (Operational, technical & BC\DR) is accurate & up to date Defining the operational routines applicable for the systems deployed to deliver the service, and authorising any changes to them Allocating and assigning fault calls to Technical support staff/3 rd parties and prioritising, expediting and escalating resolution Defining service performance metrics and monitoring and reporting of them to Management and Customers as deemed appropriate Undertaking capacity planning exercises to ensure the systems are capable of delivering the contracted services Specifying new system requirements to deliver new services Defining, reviewing and testing the Disaster Recovery plans necessary for business continuity Assisting with the implementation of both internal and customer-driven projects Performing EFT application testing for new internal/external requirements Work with QA team to ensure appropriate test strategies are in place for all Postilion changes

4 Skills, Knowledge and Experience Exceptional knowledge & experience with both EFT &ecommerce Payment Systems Excellent knowledge & experience of ACI s Postilion EFT Transaction Switch suite, specifically Real-Time Framework (ver 4.x & 5.x) & PostOffice (ver 4.x) and higher Good knowledge & experience with Postilion ConfigServer (ver 2.x) & terminal software (esocket.pos) Experience & knowledge of payment card technologies (EMV, magnetic stripe & contactless) & card types (debit, credit, pre-paid & gift cards) Understanding & experience of payment clearing & settlement functions through reconciliation processes A good level of understanding of LAN & WAN based network technologies, including TCP/IP Knowledge and understanding of IT Security techniques (encryption, hashing, tokenization) and industry standard protocols (SSL, IPsec) Good understanding of the Payment Card Industry & Payment Application data security standards relating specifically to payment systems & environments Experience with administering Microsoft Windows 200x server environments Knowledge of administration and maintaining MS SQL Databases (2000, 2005 & 2008) and higher Excellent analysis, identification and problem resolution skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems in a logical and disciplined manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally and with customers. Ability to document activities, problems and procedures clearly, accurately and concisely Ability to manage towards defined goals and milestones Ability to effectively plan, prioritise and multi-task in a complex operational environment without sacrificing work output or quality Disciplined with a close attention to detail A demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines preferably in a 24x7 real-time operational server environment Ability to manage 3 rd party suppliers to ensure that they are managed effectively A motivated, pro-active, self-starter with a success oriented attitude epayments solutions design and integration PCI-DSS compliance Chip & PIN compliance Smart Cards solutions
