16 Finding new Tenders - MERX - Merx is an Independent private sector tendering service Contractors can obtain contract documents by ordering them online through MERX. Professional consultants can access RFP opportunities.

20 Bidding on Contracts How to submit a tender (the Old way): Register with MERX for the project to receive Correct Tender Form and all amendments Any Amendments issued during the Tender Period All Bidders have the same information Download Plan and Specifications via Merx Formulate your bid Submit Tender Form and Bid Security if required, in sealed envelope, prior to closing at closing location. OR E-Bid (when activated) That s it, Awards usually 7-30 days!

21 In Summary for Bidding Ensure you are aware of all of the requirements for submitting a tender. Submit only what is requested This will give your firm the best chance at being awarded a Contract as the low compliant bidder.

24 E-Procurement Set up an account with Merx (Subscription) Registration fees are On the Go, DCC only, or Full access Contractor will receive their PIN for bidding from Merx E-Procurement training sessions are underway at the local Construction Associations

25 E Bonding (Bid Security) E-Bonding (Digital Bonds) replaces hard copy Bonds New Digital Bonds are PDF files which can be validated online and remain active through out the Tender

26 E Bonding (Bid Security) Set up prior to bidding between the Contractor, their Bonding Agent, and Assurance Company and one of the new Mobile E- Bonding Companies. The Contractor receives the Digital Bond and uploads it to Merx with their Bid. All National Assurance Companies are already set up with each Mobile B-Bonding Company.
