Lupondwana INTERESTED AND SITA CONTRACT 1183 ACCREDITED SERVICE PROVIDERS ARE HEREBY INVITED TO SUBMIT QUOTATIONS FOR ECDOE INTRANET TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND SERVICES 1. PURPOSE The Eastern Cape Department of Education requests quotations from qualified and SITA Contract 1183 accredited service providers for technical support and services related to the existing ECDoE Intranet and mobile Intranet applications for a period of 12 months. The selected service provider will be responsible for the deployment of the existing ECDoE Intranet and mobile Intranet application to various hosting platforms, the managing of the domain & required security certificates and user support. Note that the ECDoE Intranet serves as the main integration hub for many of the latest ECDoE systems. The existing integrations must be maintained and resolved as and when the platform is deployed to new hosting platforms. The selected service provider will also be responsible for software maintenance and the roll-out of software updates to the ECDoE Intranet and mobile Intranet application. The selected service provider must have software development -and technical staff within the Eastern Cape. 2. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS All prices shall be shown in South African Rand and cents and quoted inclusive of Value Added Tax. Scope Description Software & database maintenance for the existing ECDoE Intranet & mobile Intranet App Software updates and roll-out of said updates (within existing scope of the applications) Integration of systems Deployment and configuration on various hosting platforms Facilitation and monitoring of ECDoE Intranet DR Domain and security certificate management System enhancements and migration to ECDoE Hosting platform including Microsoft Azure End-user support in the form of training and remote support I. Routine software and database maintenance will be required. The selected service provider must ensure that the existing ECDoE Intranet technologies and infrastructure is understood by the Project Team, and that the routine maintenance does not jeopardize the stability of the existing platform. II. The selected service provider will be solely responsible for the roll-out of maintenance and functionality updates to both the ECDoE Intranet and mobile Intranet applications. III. The ECDoE Intranet serves as the main integration hub of various systems, e.g. ECDoE Fix My School, ECDoE Document Flow Management System etc. The existing integrations must be maintained and replicated as and when the ECDoE Intranet applications are deployed on new

3 hosting platforms. The service provider will also be responsible for the configuration of the hosting environment. IV. The selected service provider will be responsible for Disaster Recovery protocols and for the monitoring of uptime with accompanying reports. V. The selected service provider will be responsible for System enhancements and migration to ECDoE Hosting platform including Microsoft Azure VI. The selected service provider will be required to offer training on both the ECDoE Intranet and mobile Intranet applications. Remote user support, with acceptable SLA terms, is also of paramount importance. 4. OTHER REQUIREMENTS 4.1 The Project Team consists out of a minimum of 2 members 4.2 The Lead Project Manager has successfully managed a minimum of 4 software projects, 4.3 The selected service provider uses the following software development technologies inhouse: IONIC 2 Angular 2 Cordova NodeJS Javascript HTML 5 ASP.NET MVC Typescript KnockoutJS Bootstrap SQL Datatables JQuery C# WPF.NET CSS SCSS Service Stack cross server communication C++

PRICING SCHEDULE Technical Specification Services Required (12 months) Analysis of existing platforms (ECDoE Intranet and mobile Intranet), Technical Services and Support, Domain and security certificate management, System enhancements and migration to ECDoE Hosting platform including Microsoft Azure Training Price (R/US Dollar) including VAT 6.
