Industry and Services: Legal and Insurance CaseGlide is the leading case management system for insurance companies and their attorneys to streamline collaboration, automate routine processes, and create transformative business intelligence. CaseGlide allows its customers to: - Collaborate efficiently using claims-specific check-the- box and fill-inthe-blank workflows instead of lengthy s and Word documents. Reduce the time and expense of routine tasks such as legal document creation by automating them. - Eliminate duplication of tasks by having attorneys directly enter their updates into your system, instead of having attorneys fire away millions of dollars of information in s and making adjusters document every single communication in the claims journal. - Review case updates by skimming news feeds searchable and sortable by any case facts, including disposition strategy, favorability ratings, and priority level, rather than by the order in which it hits adjusters' inboxes. - Obtain actionable business intelligence by requiring all key case information to be entered into searchable, sortable, and data visual-ready fields. - Identify who your best attorneys are through real-time "apples to apples" comparisons on categories such as expense and performance. - Save up to 40% of your legal fees by ensuring compliance with the guidelines and by making attorneys jobs easier through streamlined collaboration and automated legal documents. 2

4 The Challenge CaseGlide, LLC is developing an insurance claims litigation management system a web-based system that streamlines collaboration between insurance companies and their third-party law firms; automates routine processes like document creation and reporting; and transforms collaboration into actionable business intelligence. CaseGlide undertook a requirements exercise for its Infrastructure needs, which includes provisioning, services management, monitoring, and recovery of server platforms, data storage, and network services. CaseGlide was looking for a solution and a service delivery partner that would provide excellent value and meet defined needs during development, migration, and production promotion of the product offering. The Solution Care Analytics proposed the use of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provision compute power, storage and other resources, gaining access to a suite of elastic IT infrastructure services as the business demands them. With minimal cost and effort, we could move CaseGlide s application to the AWS cloud and reduce capital expenses, minimize support and administrative costs, and retain the performance, security, and reliability requirements the business demanded. 3

5 The role Care Analytics assumed is illustrated in the following diagram, which summarizes each partner's role and responsibility for delivery of the CaseGlide product as planned. At a high level, the procedures undertaken by Care Analytics included the setup and deployment of: - Storage and management of the data backups exported from the legacy system - Storage and management of the document attachments used on the legacy system 4
