1 General Description The Weir Gates are developed in accordance with AWWA C513 Standard and its function is control straightly the fluid sewage. These are compact and light equipments assuring longer service life, low maintenance rating, 100% weatherproofing, very high versatility and low cost. Projected in accordance with needs of each application and subjected to customer agreement, FKB Slide-gates are entire provided, including all the accessories as: fixation kit, extensions, pedestal, sensors, etc Quality - ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company; - Petrobras CRCC Certified Company; - FKB is a manufacturer of valves over 13 years that enabled us to supply to many companies in different areas such as: Water Treatment, Steel Mill, Petrochemistry, Mining, Paper and Pulp, etc; - All equipments provided by FKB are accompanied by a certificate of inspection and testing, performed in factory before delivery. Constructive Description Standard Construction AWWA C513, last revision Body Structure Built in formed steel sheets, structure profile and / or welded sheets, to insert into concrete. This structure is a one-strong piece, in order to not deform during transportation, installation and operation. Designed in 4 minimum factor of safety as the tension (pull) and 2 as the minimum factor of compressive and shear force. Fone: Site: 1 of 5
2 Locker Built in formed steel sheets, structure profile and / or welded sheets, in order to make the deflection until 1/360. Designed in 4 minimum factor of safety as the tension (pull) and 2 as the minimum factor of compressive and shear force. Side sealing Made of UHMW, in compression system through Elastomer and, in order to guarantee 100% tightness for long periods and avoid the possibility of leakage due to wearing. Sealing Made through Elastomer, 10mm of thickness minimum. Guide and Scraper Made of UHMW, assuring low coefficient of friction, support at least ¾ of height in opened position. Stem Made of stainless steel and designed to support the operation of the valve under maximum pressure, then the level of slenderness is less than 200. Hand Wheel: Designed to operate unless than twice the effort of engine output. Pneumatic Actuator, Hydraulic or Electric: Designed to provide, at least, 1,25 times de output effort. Actuators Hand Wheel: Designed to operate the slide gate under maximum pressure with application of manual effort in the mechanism up to kgf (178N). In case of using Gear Box, it will be sized for the force, at least, 110% of rated specified pressure. Pneumatic Actuator, Hydraulic or Electric: Designed for the force, at least, 110% of rated specified pressure. (reference: AWWA C513 and AWWA C540 last revision). Note: Other Actuators on request Identification Platelet of stainless steel, should provide the following informations: Inspection Date, Manufacturing order, Number of Invoice, Number of Purchasing, TAG, Weight, Gauge, Project Standard, Test Standard and Work Pressure.
