Cairnhill CairnFrame Turnkey Design and Build Process Frame Design from Client Concept: Our in-house projects team will liaise with architects, structural engineers, contractors or developers at any stage of a project to provide the optimum design solution. Detailed Quotation: A fully detailed quotation including drawings for specific schemes, scope of works and proposed structural specification will be issued. Engineering Analysis, Manufacture & Frame Assembly: Metal components are precision engineered utilising our in-house 3D software ensuring our steel frame solution provides the structural design flexibility, dimensional accuracy and minimising fabrication time. Delivery & Site Installation Prefabricated elements are systematically delivered to site to meet the site erection programme as agreed beforehand with the client. Our highly trained technicians erect the panels. Internal Fit-out, Façade Options: Panels are generally covered with drywall plasterboard to meet current building regulations and clients performance specifications. The CairnFrame steel framing structure can accept most façade options. 3 Product Overview Our portfolio of completed SFS (Site Steel Framing System) and load bearing metal frame (CairnFrame) projects demonstrates the flexibility of light gauge steel framing in the UK covering: Schools, Offices, Student Accommodation, Hotels, Care Homes, Flatted Developments, Hospitals and Health Care Buildings Façade Framing Our metal panels which can incorporate rigid insulation and sheathing boards are ideal for projects where panels can fit to a structural frame. In this situation prefabricated panels can speed up erection on site compared to traditional methods of construction. Savings accrue from the reduction in programme time with factory quality as an added bonus. Framing Sections (SFS) CairnFrame CairnFrame is a steel framed, structure and shell construction method consisting of customised assemblies for external and internal walls, floors (other than ground floors) and ceilings from steel cassettes or composite concrete deck. CairnFrame Loadbearing Building System is proven, affordable, consistent quality and sustainable. Insulation can be added in the factory as necessary. Framing sections are used to form the inner leaf of the external wall of a concrete or hot rolled framed building. If combined with rigid insulation or a weather resistant sheathing board it rapidly forms a wind and watertight shell so that internal fit out can begin earlier than with traditional methods of construction. We have a depth of experience in delivering SFS projects to large national contractors such as Kier, Bam, Ogilvie, Carillion, Dawn, Sir Robert McAlpine, Miller and Laing O Rourke. Commercial Cairnhill has an excellent portfolio in commercial buildings utilising the SFS infill panel system including projects for Scotia Gas Networks, Sovereign Properties, and Midlothian Council to create new Grade A office space. Cairnhill has also worked on high profile retail developments including the St Enoch Centre Redevelopment in Glasgow and Trinity Square project in Gateshead for Ivanhoe Cambridge and Tesco. Hotel & Leisure Cairnhill specialises in hotel/leisure projects working in partnership with main contractors and client design teams, offering full design, manufacture and install service of the complete structural frame. 5 Student Accommodation The CairnFrame method of construction was fundamental in the completion of the 350 room new University of West of Scotland student residence built by Graham Construction. Cairnhill have recently been awarded the SFS contract for the 993 bed student residence for Northumbria University being constructed by Bowmer and Kirkland during 2012 & Healthcare Cairnhill has recently gained experience in the healthcare sector working with blue chip organisations and regional contractors including projects for the NHS, Bupa, Beatson Institute, and main contractors. Through our experience we have the knowledge to deliver SFS and CairnFrame projects in hospitals, specialist units and care homes. Residential Cairnhill have been involved in the multi-storey residential sector with clients such as Barratt Homes, Interserve, Dandara and Dawn Construction.
