LA CABANE LEBANON established in 2006 with the aim to encourage ecological living. More than 40 projects executed in Lebanon; variying from small cabins to large houses... LA CABANE LEBANON is the first company in Lebanon to import prefabricated wooden houses of European origin. LA CABANE LEBANON have received the certificates of Good Execution and Final Delivery and Acceptance by IMG (International Management Group), the supervision of the company Rafik El Khoury Partners and the Office of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR) for the construction project of 20 ecolodges in Higher Chouf. This is how it works: 1 We customise your house s layout and help you choose the design that suits your purpose most.

The design, geographical situation, altitude, wind orientations and speed levels are sent to a team of European engineers.

4 After your approval on final plans, the wood panels are meticulously dried and treated then accurately cut and labeled.

3 STEP BY STEP TO YOUR DREAM HOUSE... At LA CABANE LEBANON, we build your house from the day you start dreaming till you get it, keys in hand. This is how it works: 1 We customise your house s layout and help you choose the design that suits your purpose most. We select the wood specs depending on the locality of the house and your budget. The design, geographical situation, altitude, wind orientations and speed levels are sent to a team of European engineers. A thorough anaylsis of the above factors, guarantees a secure and long-lasting house. 4 After your approval on final plans, the wood panels are meticulously dried and treated then accurately cut and labeled. Packed securely in containers, your prefabricated house will be shipped along with pre-assembled double glazed windows and doors, as well as spare parts and instructions. 4 HOW LA CABANE LEBANON WOODEN HOUSES ARE BUILT? 1 A structure of cement base is built, averaging from 8 to 15cm in thickness, depending on total area of the house, altitude, geographical location and wind direction. All wooden panels are sorted in 2 3 an ascending order from base to top (reaching the shingles). These panels are pre-labeled and numbered according to the structural plan, date of production and client s name. Phase three is the inter-locked construction system that holds the house firmly together. Our team is assisted by German engineers throughout the building process. The paint we apply is resistant to fungus, thermite, UV...etc unlike maritim varnish adapted by others. Maritim varnish is so waterproof to the extend that it prevents the aeration of wood, thus provoking the accumulation of fungus. The suppliers of LA CABANE LEBANON are EU ecofriendly approved; 10 trees are planted in place of each tree cut for our houses. WHAT MAKES US EVEN BETTER? Prefabricated cylindrical log houses Cylindrical wood suffers from cracks Use of asbestos as an intermediate layer between the logs. Statements: Cracks in cylindrical wood, an ideal habitat for dust and insects affecting its durability decreasing insulation, water and wind impermeability and eventually threatening the whole structure. Cracks level rises at an exponential rate. Asbestos is restricted in most European countries and is proven to be cancerous. Flat engineered wood with smooth surface and rectangular shape minimizes the rate of micro cracks appearence. Statement: Higher durability and less maintenance. Prefabricated houses cut in Lebanon. A structure that involves a mixture of wood and steel Screws are used to connect the wood pannels together to the stucture. The house s frame holding the structure together is made of steel. Earthquake, wind resistance, and snow load not tested. Statements: The temperature variation causes the expansion of wood. With the presence of screws major cracks appear. When steel is involved, there are extremely higher risks of lightening strikes. With the 100% wood interlocked construction system, there is a secure and stable stucture without the use of any scews and steel. Statement: LA CABANE LEBANON interlocked construction system is highly flexible making it resistant to natural forces like earthquakes and wind speed. Tongues and grooves intersection allows the wooden walls to breathe with negligible expansion as the temperature varies avoiding the appearance of cracks.

7 HOW IS IT TREATED? The special European high quality paint treatment (ISO certified) is shipped with the house kit.
