However, in exposed windy locations they must be strong enough to operate safely on a long-term basis. If external doors are likely to be subject to high winds they must be fitted with heavy-duty overhead closing devices that are strong enough to safely control anticipated opening and closing forces. In some instances two closers may be required in tandem, particularly on large door leaves with significant sail areas. Large, very heavy doors in exposed locations may require power operated dampening devices. In addition to adequate control of opening forces, external door should be fitted with doorstops to prevent leaves colliding with the building fabric causing damage and distortion. The Teckentrup dw62 & 62 XL external door is a fully tested, heavy duty insulated door available up 3000x4000mm high with requisite overhead control devices.

They are constructed from galvanized steel, with insulated cores and supplied with heavy-duty hinges, security bolts and captive seals in PPC finish, either in white primer or any RAL colour, dw62 doors are available in optional stainless steel constructions and with vision panels. Flush Edg e Stainless Option General Purpose Hinged Doors GP-1/2 Folding Sliding Doors FE 50 Insulated Roller Shutters Thermoteck Teckentrup hollow metal GP general purpose, un-insulated doors are 45mm flush edge products available in single and double leaf configurations with over and side panels. They are constructed from galvanized steel and supplied in PPC finish, either in white primer or any RAL colour. They are characterized by their slim, flush appearance and conventional butt hinges. The non-rebated door leaf sits flush with the face of the frame that is mitred at the head to jamb interface. These doors are available in all conventional configurations, with a large range of ancillary items and options, including stainless steel constructions.
