Course Description: Course Name Wood drying (Course Language: Japanese) Bio-based Composites (Course Language: English Japanese) Engineered Wood Materials (Course Language: English Japanese) Computer aided design for furniture Course Detail The major contents of this course include wood drying medium, wood properties related to wood drying, theory of wood heating and drying, wood drying kiln and equipment, conventional wood drying technology. The fundamental theory and technology of air drying, dehumidification drying, vacuum drying, solar-energy drying, high frequency drying and microwave drying will also be introduced. Bio-based composites refer to the composites made from wood, bamboo, or agricultural residues. They include the newly developed materials such as wood/plastic composite, wood/cement composite, wood/gypsum composite, and wood/metal composite. This course will introduce the definition, history, processing technology, performances, and applications of these composites. They are widely used in interior finish, furniture, flooring, and packing, decking, and shielding material. This course will introduce the definition, processing technology, performance and application of glued laminated timber (Glulam), laminated veneer lumber (LVL), oriented strand board (OSB), wood I-joists, parallel strand lumber (PSL), laminated strand lumber (LSL), and sandwich structural panels. These engineered wood materials are widely used in both residential and industrial constructions. This lesson explains the knowledge about how to design furniture using AutoCAD software

22 Science of Biomass Materials Wood plastic composites Wood based composites Wood Utilization in Modern Life Wood Drying (Course Language: Japanese) Wood Character and Machine Producing (Course Language: Japanese) Ergonomics (Course Language: Japanese) Wood plastic composite (WPC) is a product that efficiently utilizes wasted bio-fibers and recycled thermoplastics. It has excellent physical and mechanical properties and is used in more and more applications. This course introduces the main raw materials for WPC, manufacturing process, properties, and evaluation methods. Wood based composites are widely used in living. It is the main products that give people the feeling of wood. This course introduces the manufacturing process of plywood, particleboard, and medium density fiberboard. This course is for wood engineering and furniture design and manufacture and interior design, students study science and technology of wood drying, wood drying analyze and solve practical problems in scientific research and production, organize and guide the production capacity of wood drying. Mainly teaches the basic theory of wood drying, wood drying equipment structure and principles of the production process of wood drying, wood drying process control, wood drying equipment selection and performance testing, etc., develop and train students in-depth study of science and technology of wood drying, wood drying analyze and solve practical problems in production, organization and ability to guide the production of wood drying. This course is involved in forest related discipline (forestry, forest economics, forestry machinery, forest chemicals, furniture design) students will be introduced to the basic wood science, knowledge and technology related courses. After this course the students can grasp and understand the basic properties of wood and the main features and use of technical knowledge. The main teaching content: the organizational structure of wood, the physical and mechanical properties of wood, wood construction materials, wood tools, woodworking machinery, processing methods, wood finishing and so on. This course is designed for wood engineering, industrial design, mechanical engineering, traffic engineering, packaging engineering, forestry, engineering and related disciplines such as professional master's degree graduate students, students in the initial formation of Man - Machine (thing) - The overall concept of the environment, have

23 Brief guidance to polymer science Introduce to Wood Industry (Course Language: German,English) Hydrolysis techniques of plant fiber a certain approach to human engineering theory and used it in industrial production management, industrial design, furniture and interior design research, design, work environment, the ability to work in the study design and management of "people-oriented", as well as to improve production efficiency, to ensure that industrial design and interior design, functional work environment to provide rational scientific basis, to create more beautiful, more comfortable, more pleasant people - machines (goods) - to provide a theoretical basis for environmental systems. This course mainly is theoretical, with extra-curricular practice, theory practice, full development of the comprehensive ability and training to students. The main teaching is focused on human physiological systems, human engineering research methods, people and the environment, industrial and interior design, ergonomic design theory, ergonomics indoor security and so on. The course focus on Polymer Science and Engineering, introducing polymer chemistry, polymer physics, polymer molding process and application of specialized vocabulary and English, described Anglo-American countries, technical writing habits. Students in the future will understanding the professional and international developments and cutting-edge information and to get a better foundation for professional work. Wood science, Lumber manufacturing, Wood drying, Wood based material, Surface Decoration, WPC etc. This course is divided into two parts, first part is the production of furfural, the main subjects are physical and chemical properties and uses of furfural, furfural production of basic principles and methods, raw materials and pretreatment, cooking process, the factors that influence the yield of aldehydes, advanced cooking technology of furfural, formaldehyde and in steam, liquid furfural distillation, the crude furfural refining, distillation and refining of furfural compared the process of furfural production by-products and derivatives, the nature, purpose, and the comprehensive utilization of furfural production etc.; second part is other hydrolysis process, principles and techniques of alcohol production and so on.
