Following a review of the suitability of the activity class for this application, the most suitable class identified is: The manufacture or use of coating materials in processes with a capacity to make or use at least 10 tonnes per year of organic solvents, and powder coating manufacture with a capacity to produce at least 50 tonnes per year. General Paints Ltd. request that a licence be considered under this class. This response serves to update section B.3 and section B.8 of our earlicr documentation. Attached is a copy of our revised newspaper notice, revised site notice which is now in place at the location previously used and revised Planning Authority notice which has been sent. An update of the non-technical summary is not necessary because the class description now proposed differs from our earlier submission only in so far as the manufacture of

2 paints differs from the manufacture of coating materials. It is the applicants view that paint is a coating material, consequently no distinction was made between paint and coating material in the non technical summary.
