3 Brief about Skill Council for Green Jobs Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ) is a registered Autonomous Society created under the aegis of NSDC and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. As per the Gazette notification of Government of India, Skill Council for Green Jobs has been given the responsibility to develop National Occupational Standards for Skilling and Certification of those skills against the standards in the domain of Green Businesses. National Solar Mission Skill India Mission Being renewable energy as one of the important verticals of activities of SCGJ, the Council is promoted by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Develop appropriate courses and curriculum to address the needs for skilling as per the National Occupational Standard Build capacity for training delivery: Plan & Execute Train the Trainer Programs Encourage maximum participation of training institutions to run certified programs as per NOS Establish sector specific labor market information system (LMIS) to assist planning and delivery of training followed by employment Affiliation and accreditation process: For Institution, Examination & Certification of trainees Evolve a mechanism in association with the industry to ensure that only certified workforce is deployed Enable maximum employment to certified skilled personnel Offering membership to industry players to play an active part in the initiative Collaboratio n with the industry for curriculum and content development
