36 Suggestions for Restoring An Urban River 1. Community consensus on a restoration plan, however long and difficult, it produces a powerful foundation for project success. 2. If you want your plan implemented, you must sit at the table of anyone especially anyone who could stop you and listen. 3. Don t be afraid to collaborate with players who have a long way to go. They have the greatest potential to improve the watershed.

37 3. Restoration projects should take more of a landscape approach. 4. Every project partner has something to offer, identify those opportunities and capitalize on them. 5. Urban watershed are very productive watersheds and we need to do more to educate the public about their importance.
