Al Mehtab Industries. Delivering Excellence.
We are India s leading and innovative Plastic Reprocessing Facility delivering an excellent service to industry demand for recycled materials. We buy discarded soft drinks and water bottles made from Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and recycle them back into food-grade plastic pellets which are then used to make new bottles and food packaging. Our plant in India is first to use state-of-the-art technology to sort, wash and super clean PET plastic meeting highest of the international standards. With millions of discarded plastic bottles that would otherwise have been sent to landfill, will now be reprocessed for re-use in making new plastic bottles thus saving thousands of tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
Our Plastics Reprocessing Facility Al Mehtab Industries Pvt. Ltd is located at Gajraula (India) with intensive coverage area of 240,000 sq.ft equipped with the most advanced and latest technology machinery to process and produce high quality super-cleaned PET Flakes. This valuable raw material is compounded into high quality food grade pellets which are used as a recycled content in manufacturing of new food grade plastic bottles thus avoiding the need to use virgin plastic pellets. With capacity of each machine processing 1.5 metric tonnes per hour we are considered India s leading post-consumer plastic bottles reprocessing plant. With expansion plans and investment in the latest recycling technology we are in the market looking for new sources of clean and segregated post consumer PET bottles promising best market rates with an open and honest approach at all times.
As one of the leading manufacturers of recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (rpet), Al Mehtab Industries understands how environmentally-sound decisions can impact the packaging bottom line. But what exactly is PET? And why is rpet so valuable? PET is a polymer that is used to manufacture strong, clear, bottles, lightweight containers and packaging. A key advantage of PET is that it has a well-established recycling infrastructure and can be recycled numerous times. Its superb physical properties enable the manufacture of lightweight containers which minimizes the use of natural resources. Through Al Mehtab s ongoing focus on process and product development, we're able to develop cost-effective, high-performing rpet resins. They provide our customers with a sustainable resource which helps them meet regulatory mandates for both food and non-food applications. Through our state-of-the-art materials separation and elutriation services, we also can take your scrap regrind, re-melt and reform it into pellets that can be reintroduced into your bottle-making process.
Sustainable resources, attainable solutions By creating clean, high-quality rpet in a consistent manner, Al Mehtab rpet resins can easily be incorporated into packaging for a variety of applications. Using modern technology, Al Mehtab is able to pelletize and crystallize recycled, post-consumer PET for reuse back into consumer packaging applications. State-ofthe-art processes and quality assurance standards have enabled the company to develop rpet that can be blended with virgin resin and actually mimic its performance. Additionally, rpet requires less energy to manufacture per pound than that of virgin PET. The end result is a sustainable, cost-effective, high-performing solution that many of our customers use as a 100% replacement for virgin-without compromising manufacturing efficiencies or product performance standards. Implementing innovation, maximizing value Using the process, we're able to pelletize and crystallize rpet for reuse back in to consumer packaging applications. Always at the forefront of recycling innovation, the process enables us to produce rpet that processes like virgin PET but requires less energy to manufacture. And since it runs like virgin, no special process changes are needed to use our rpet. With advanced technology, innovative quality processes, cost-saving repelletizing services, and first-rate support, Al Mehtab Industries can exceed your expectations - and maximize your profits.
At Al Mehtab Industries, our quality is born out of our innovative process. By using modern technologies, we create the high-quality recycled PET (rpet) our customers have come to expect over the time. All of our products start with the same basic process steps - securing A Grade post-consumer PET Bottles. These are recovered from bottles consumers put into curbside collection bins or take to the local recycling centre, which are then assembled into bales. 8 Neck cuttings directly placed into an injection machine, there is a risk that bridging will occur. This means that a blockage at the feed throat, which connects the feed hopper with the barrel, is caused by the clumps that are formed out of neck cuttings because of the following reasons: The size and low bulk density of neck cuttings Their tendency to curl and mechanically interlock when dried Therefore it is recommended that neck cuttings and flakes be pelletized before injection moulded.
PET recycling offers the following environmental benefits: Oil is conserved. When a ton of rpet replaces PET, 3.8 barrels of petroleum is saved. Saving space on landfills. Energy consumption, in comparison to PET, is reduced by 84%. Reduction in greenhouse emission of 71%
Contamination Recycled PET Neck Cuttings 0% Contamination Large amounts of bacteria and germs Our Recycled PET goes through an excruciating three stage filtration process using different micron screens under vacuum resulting in 0% contamination. In Neck Cutting the contamination levels are high, PH levels and caustic residues are on the higher side making it dangerous and hazardous for health.
PVC Content Recycled PET Neck Cuttings 0 PPM PPM Our Recycled PET has Zero PVC content. This makes it easy for our consumers to use it as a replica of Virgin Pellets. Neck Cuttings may contain particles of PVC which increases Preform defects, reduces production and decreases IV.
Dust Recycled PET Neck Cuttings Dust free packaging Dust collected due to friction of the flakes Our Recycled PET is packaged in new bags every time under dust free conditions under an European standard packaging process whereas the Neck Cutting is packaged in old bags and dust is collected due to the friction created and other weather conditions till it reaches the extruders.
Fines Recycled PET Neck Cuttings 0% fines as no residue left over Damage to mould, cavity and nozzle due to fines settling at the bottom Our Recycled PET contains 0% fines, once flakes are transformed into pellets no residue is left over. Whereas in Neck Cutting fines are collected at the bottom increasing with due course which not only contaminates the Preform but also affect the overall production as these fines slowly get settled in the Preform block.
Moisture Recycled PET Neck Cuttings Moisture not exceeding 0.3% Moisture levels up to 3% Our Recycled PET has moisture levels that do not exceed 0.3% providing a benefit of approx 1.5% in weight whereas for Neck Cutting the normal moisture level is 1.5% and can go up to 3% under different weather conditions.
Temperature Required Recycled PET Neck Cuttings 285 C 30 C Higher Temp. Our Recycled PET temperatures are maintained at the same level of Virgin Resins, i.e. 280 C- 285 C. Neck Cutting requires a higher temperature up to 310 C for melting because of variable wall thickness ranging from 1mm-3mm.
Electricity Recycled PET Neck Cuttings Our Recycled PET provides a uniform melting cycle resulting in less consumption of electricity and higher production. While using Neck Cutting there is an excessive use of electricity because of maintaining different melting points rising up to 30 C higher than normal.
Colour Variation Recycled PET Neck Cuttings A Grade bottles Neck of 2 nd bottle present Our Recycled PET is manufactured using only A Grade quality bottles because of which the colour variation is negligible. In Neck Cutting there are necks of second bottles present which makes the colour variation very distinguished.
Intrinsic Viscosity Recycled PET Neck Cuttings Homogenous IV PVC particles present in material Our rpet has an Intrinsic Viscosity which is homogenous throughout. In Neck Cutting it varies as there are chances of PVC to be present in the material which in turn results in a low IV and production quality.
