1 PRISM CEMENT LIMITED CORPORATE ENVIRONMENT POLICY Prism Cement Limited is committed to the best environmental practices and incorporating these into its business strategy and operations and to fostering environmental awareness and responsibility among our stakeholders, including employees, clients and suppliers. The Company is conscious of its responsibility towards creating, maintaining and ensuring a safe and clean environment for sustainable development. In furtherance of its objectives, the Company is committed to : 1) Operate the mines, manufacturing and other facilities in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to environment and health & safety of employees and surrounding communities. 2) Prepare and maintain plant/site specific legal records listing all the applicable regulations and the compliance requirements. 3) Continually improve the environmental performance of organisational processes and products through waste minimization and pollution abatement. 4) Minimise consumption of natural resources through the reduction, reuse or recycling of materials, as much as possible. 5) Encourage efficient use of energy, water and utilities. 6) Purchase products and services, as far as possible, that do the least damage to the environment on a life cycle basis. 7) Promote environmental awareness among the employees and encourage them to work in an environmentally responsible manner. 8) Communicate the environmental commitment and performance of the organization to its clients, customers and the public. 9) Develop and maintain appropriate emergency and response programs where required by legislation or where significant health, safety or environmental hazards exist. 10) Develop and maintain greenery in and around its mines, plants and other project units. 11) Framing Standard Operating Procedures for its operations including mining.

An overview Picture of the complete Cement plant covering its greenery and surroundings. Prism Cement Limited is committed towards implementation of various international management systems i.e. NABL(National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories), ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS), OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Assessment series, SA 8000: Social Accountability, NABET (National Accreditation Board for Education and Training), ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management System (EnMS), ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System (FSMS) under the systems we are bound to comply by all the legal and other requirements, including requirements of international system management. The Company has a firm and robust Corporate Environment Policy (Annexure no.1) and Corporate Social Responsibility Policy (Annexure no.2) ii. Waste Management in Offices: Waste management in the offices - Dustbins provided for all office & relevant places for best housekeeping & collection of office waste. The main waste generation is paper as office waste and same is shredded and sent for recycling. The disposal is done as per DOC. No. PCL-OCP- 50 (Annexure no. 3)

20 iii. Segregation of waste Collection: Different type of Waste bins are used for hazardous & non- hazardous waste and the same are stored at designated places. Authorized Party is hired for collection and disposal of these wastes. The disposal is done for Non-hazardous waste as per DOC.NO.PCL-OCP-50 (Annexure no. 3) and DOC.NO.PCL-OCP-24 & 48 for hazardous waste. (Annexure no. 4 & 5 respectively) iv. Solid Waste Management: Solid waste management (including e-waste) - Such type waste are collected in different type of Waste bins and stored at designated places. We have a standing agreement with authorized waste management companies who are our vendors for collection & disposal of such waste. We have an e-waste management system which is done as per DOC.NO.PCL-OCP-02;the disposal of Bio-medical waste is done as per DOC.NO.PCL-OCP-24 (Annexure no.5) v. Hazardous Waste Management. Such type of waste is stored at designated place until the time authorized vendor carries it for waste disposal. We are in agreement with such Authorised vendors for hazardous waste management. The hazardous waste management is done as per DOC.NO.PCL-OCP-02 (Annexure no 6). vi. Recycling & Reuse of Waste: Not Applicable vii. Industry participation in construction of Public/Community Toilets with ratio (*) (1 st April 31 st May, 2017) Yes, we are making toilets at schools of villages in vicinity to our Plant/Mines. Public toilets for General public, drivers, cleaners and other stake holders are being constructed at places where we anticipate lot of transit. The company has a dedicated road map for community engagement in constructing toilets for various purposes. Some of the initiatives viz. constructing 138 toilets at village Baghai in FY , is being given in Annexure no. 7.The Public/community toilet ratio will be 1:1 after completion of the project. In reporting period service requisition has been raised and work is to commence shortly. viii. behavioural change regarding healthy sanitation practices. (*) We have a plan to post 250 slogans on different issues in FY In the reporting period we have posted 25 slogans at different locations with maximum visibility to villagers. 21 x. in eradication of manual scavenging & elimination of open defecation. (*) The area around our industry and mines is free from practices of manual scavenging. We are consistently making toilets in and around our plant/mines to provide better facilities to the villagers and other stake holders. The practise of defecation is being defeated by counselling and slogan posting near the places of human habitation. xi. Planting trees in office complex Green Belt Development in cement plants: In the reporting period no plantation has been carried out. All plantations are proposed in Monsoon-Post Monsoon period. Yes, we are planting trees in our office complexes and all other areas with in Factory Premises. Plantation is also being carried out near villages; road side and others open places. Intensive plantation has been carried out in the mine areas. xii. Activities taken under the C.S.R. fold with Videos/Photos. (*) Some of the initiatives/activities carried out by the company are given in Annexure no. 7 along with photographs. xiii. Any other activity/information. 1. Construction of three numbers of rooftop rainwater harvesting structures, are in progress. Total estimated cost of these structures is approximately 5.8 Lacs 2. Awareness program at Gram Panchayat Bathiya, Mahurachh-Kandaila, Mankahari, Narsinghpur, Hinauti, Sijahata and Baghai was conducted through audio/public address system messaging sun stroke, Diarrhoea, Jaundice etc. 3. Classes creating computer awareness giving 72 hours working on machine to each student is being conducted from to conclude on Total. 30 students are participating from different CSR target villages. 4. CONSTRUCTION OF GROUNDWATER RECHARGE STRUCTURE Two numbers of groundwater recharge structure are being constructed inside colony area, which is connected with the storm drain. The dimensions of these structures are 6X3X3 Meters with two numbers of boreholes and other structure of size 3X3X3 meters with one borehole. This recharge pit will be filled with conventional filter media (Stone boulders, Course Sand & Fine Sand). The flooded storm water of monsoon will be accumulated in this structure and filtered rainwater will percolate to groundwater with the perforated casing of borehole

INSTALLATION OF DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM To reduce the fresh water consumption and optimum utilization of water in irrigation, the company has installed Drip Irrigation System of around 4.0 Kms length. Installation of remaining one kilometre length is in progress 7. Indo Asian Solar Challenge All participating vehicles were solar powered. There were 310 students from different institutes across the country who participated in the rally.
